A rural Mitchellville Iowa couple was found slain on their property. The son of one of the victims is being sought for questioning. Police are looking for Russell Overlin, he may be driving a 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe with Iowa license #009 EAN

Police are still looking for Russell Overlin for questioning in the Murders of his father and stepmother. Polk County authorities are considering this man armed and dangerous. The bodies of his Father and Step-Mother were found in a cistern on their rural Mitchellville Iowa property

Man arrested and charged with 2 counts first degree murder.

Officials found the man in Oaklahoma where he was arrested.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) It's life in prison without parole for a Mitchellville man accused of killing his father and stepmother and stuffing their bodies in a well.

Russell Overlin, 52, pleaded guilty today to two counts of first-degree murder and was sentenced.

The hearing was initially scheduled to determine whether he was competent to stand trial.
