Boone County authorities are asking for help in finding a missing Boone man. Thirty-eight-year-old Kevin Ahrens was reported missing by his sister on September 11, and has been missing since September 7.

Ahrens' silver 1990 Dodge Grand Caravan is also missing. It has an Iowa license plate with the number 145 AFP. If you have any information on Ahrens' whereabouts, call the Boone County sheriff at (515) 433-0527.

The Iowa State Patrol says it has found a missing Boone man's van near Iowa City. Thirty-eight-year-old Kevin Arhens' sister reported him missing September 11th.

She says she hasn't seen him since September 7th. Arhens' silver 1990 Dodge Grand Caravan was tagged Friday on Interstate 80. Police say the car was unsecured with the keys inside.

I HATE these articles. Would it kill them to write a little bit more???

How about...does Kevin work? Has he missed work? If he doesn't work, why not? Is he disabled? Vulnerable? Unemployed and depressed? Angry? Suicidal?

His sister hasn't seen him since 9/7, but has anyone else seen him? Does he live alone? Have his phone and cc records been checked?

Was the car diabled or just abandoned? Was there any sign of a struggle inside it or inside his home?

Enquiring minds want to know.

The links for Mr. Ahrens above are no good, seven plus years later. I am unable to find him listed in Iowa Missing Persons list or Boone County Iowa missing persons. Perhaps he was found and his family knows where he is. Thoughts and prayers for Kevin and his family and friends.
