I can't believe the judge allowed Ms. Freese to question that woman about what she knows about drug cartel involvement of a dealer in an active investigation. Is she trying to get her killed?

Her speech pattern and lilting inflection and whiny tone and sarcastic nature, coupled with her arrogant facial expressions----it is almost like a SNL sketch about a horrid attorney.

I thought the judge had already ruled that this “new” evidence wasn’t coming in. Isn’t this hearing about a new trial? If the new evidence isn’t coming in, why are they talking about it?
I’m obviously confused. I’ve probably got this wrong. Could someone clarify for dense me?

Seattle can explain it better than I can---but essentially it was two separate issues. One is about the state being forced to turn over ALL files of ongoing trafficking cases to the defense---which was denied.

The other issue is about the defense getting a new trial for CBR because of this 'new' evidence.

I don't think 'fed up', I think it's a case of wanting the Defence to be more direct, instead of asking the stupid questions, just ask the smart ones. It gets me there quicker.

Ok, so I just got on and read through this. I can't believe the Judge allowed half of this testimony. But he is really being deferrential to the defense as he has the entire trial. The reason is to limit appeal issues. But there is nothing I see from these reports on here today that would lead me to believe the judge would grant a new trial. Almost all this testimony today would not be admissible in trial. Plus, the timelines from the "confession" just don't align with the facts we already know. I think the Judge will deny the motion for retrial pretty quickly and reset sentencing.
