Ugh...on one hand I hope they find her ASAP. On the other, I hope it's not where all those LE vehicles are between Guernsey and Deep River. Google Maps looks like that's a heavily wooded area and that doesn't look good for MT if that's the case. Really really hope this is not a recovery mission. :(

IIRC, weren't there reports of LE searching in that same area (HWY 21 near the I-80 interchange) in the first few days? Not referring to the searches of the hog farms but remember reports from locals of seeing a large LE presence searching on HWY 21 near I-80.

I actually think this might have been asked, but I couldn't hear. What if it's the PERP who wants to reward? If he calls and says, I have her, I'll release her for the money. Then what?!

He gets arrested. No way are they going to give the kidnapper the money. I guess they are hoping that he is really dumb and takes the bait.

I hope and pray Mollie is alive but if she is not I hope she is found so her family can lay her to rest and the person(s) responsible charged to the fullest extent of the law. Jessica Heeringa has been missing for over five years now and her family are going through hell not knowing where she is. No family should suffer like that.

I’m thinking and praying for Mollie’s loved ones.

When I heard of this huge reward today the first thing I thought of was these parents are putting their homes on the table to try and get Mollie back. Nobody loves you like your mom and dad!

How many acres of corn does this area have? Very many. I still think a cornfield is a possibility if the suspect is from the area (if she is no longer alive).
334,000 acres of agricultural land in Powesheik County.

Anyone find it disheartening that perhaps the increase in reward money led to a significant break? It's sad that money is that powerful. It makes you feel like Molly's life wasn't worth $2,000 to whomever came forward but the significant increase in funds was enough for someone to speak. Of course, this is just my opinion....

I think it’s donations, not their money

Well, I'm just speculating, but, if a tipster is fearful that the person they're reporting on could harm them, perhaps a large reward is enough incentive that, "with this reward money, I'll have enough to get away and make sure the person I'm calling the tip on can't find me and hurt me, too."

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to be wrong (and have this group of people be wrong with me) more than I want to be wrong right now.

I suck at maps, is anyone able to provide a map showing where exactly they searched in that area before compared to where they're searching now? Is it in the same exact spot? Close?
Very close.
