You’re kidding right? Golden State Killer, railroad killer, tourniquet killer, genesee river killer, Blanche Taylor Moore, Charles Cullen - all serial killers who were active in the 1980s. Timmy White, Adam Walsh, Tina Harmon, Kim sue legget, Toni Jean Gibbs, Jacob wetterling - all kidnapped in the 1980s. How many cold cases on this very site are from the 1980s?

Exactly. Ironically, modern technology has led to some of these cases being solved. Green River and Golden State being just two.

I am not speaking about the pig farmer specifically at all, but it’s common for those guilty of such crimes to insert themselves into investigations. Whether it’s interviews or being extremely helpful in searches, etc. I don’t believe that the man would either appear more or less guilty due to giving an interview. Can you guys imagine even being known for committing a crime (whether it was legitimate or an ex-relationship situation, misunderstanding, etc.), and then getting interviewed? I would be super nervous regardless because words can be picked apart SO easily.

I am also surprised about the interview with the guy who lives near the pig farm. Although, if reporters already dig up dirt on his past (ie, his stalking arrests), maybe he felt that speaking for himself was the best way to proclaim his innocence in this case. In my opinion, when people hide from the press or give “no comment”, they are often viewed in a worse light by the public.

I just saw this on KCRG-TV 9. "A KCRG-TV9 crew found a large police presence this afternoon in Poweshiek County. Property owners nearby say it is related to the search for Mollie Tibbetts."
