UM HOLLY SHI.... Has anyone seen this and has it been debunked? Because if its real MOLLIE IS ALIVE!!!

I have zero faith that this is legit. As of at least 1 week ago a number of fake MT profiles popped up on FB. It’s absolutely sickening (I wish I could type the swear words I’m currently uttering) & I can only hope LE goes after these insensitive ****’s

Scroll and roll helps keep the thread open.

Or is it roll and scroll?

Is the pig farm and the area they searched today within close proximity to one another?
According to the map. There are less than 20 homes in the area between Guernsey and Deep River around Hwy 21. The hog farm they searched earlier is also located off Hwy 21.

In this particular case (Mollie), if they had a POI at this point, what in the world would they charge him/her with? Specifically, what crime?

Just because there hasn't been an arrest doesn't mean LE doesn't have a POI in mind, imo.

ETA: They are indeed searching for evidence....they are searching for Mollie!

They would charge them with kidnaping or murder, depending on the circumstances.

I agree. There have been many cases where LE suspected the missing person was dead and killed by their POI but they couldn’t do anything because they didn’t have a body or even evidence that conclusively proved the person was dead.

I have been wondering if a perp had her in his vehicle and maybe threw her phone or Fitbit out the window at that location. It could be why LE maybe having trouble finding anything out there. The perp and Mollie could have kept driving in that direction to wherever he was going with her.

If so I hope they can at least find her phone or Fitbit as that would confirm the direction they were heading.

Or maybe Mollie threw her fitbit or phone out the window to leave a clue.

Not as likely but who knows?

Mollie Tibbetts: Fox News takes a look at the location where the missing girl is last thought to have been

The article at the link includes drone video... it appears to cover the path MT may have taken that evening. The creepy part is near the end when the drone suddenly reverses direction and retreats from the area at increased speed, and in the dirt below deep-rut tire tracks can be seen, as if the wheels were spinning furiously until they finally caught traction. The tracks are in dried mud. It is unknown for how long those rut tracks were there.

As I commented above: creepy.

JMO: I think something/someone had to lure Mollie out of the house late at night. Even if someone came to the front door and knocked, I wouldn't bring my cell phone with me. I would have set it down to open the door or left it where I was sitting/studying.

Also, if I am going somewhere, regardless of the time, I always bring at least 1-2 of the following items: keys/purse/wallet/$/phone/shoes. Sometimes just my wallet + keys if it's a quick errand like putting gas in the car or getting something to eat.

All of these items were left behind except her phone. So, my thoughts are.... what would Mollie be doing outside the house, late at night, with just her phone in her hand or pocket if someone didn't knock at the door? What or who could lure Mollie outside the house, late at night, where she would only bring her phone and nothing else?
With her bf out of town, maybe she had her phone in her pocket in case he might phone her and she didn't want to miss his call.

Another thought I had is that when phones are turned off they will do a "handshake" and ping the tower one last time before they turn off completely. So if a perp was going to toss her phone out the window he would probably turn it off first. So the last location may have been still as they were driving and he was turning it off. The actual phone may be much further when he finally tossed it.

If I was LE I would keep looking for her phone in that general direction because the phone may be much further down the road.

This is all assuming it was the phone or Fitbit that pointed LE to the area.

Exactly. You can't arrest someone "depending on the circumstances." You need evidence of a specific crime and charge someone with a specific charge, based on evidence.

At this point, just because there isn't an arrest doesn't mean LE doesn't have a POI in mind. It doesn't mean they do either. We don't know.

That Fake Mollie Tibbett’s Facebook page is by a disgusting troll. It is not Mollie’s Facebook page. I have posted it here before I wish it could be taken down and the troll arrested.

I don't know why but Mollie's case has attracted a number of really vile trolls on FB. They've been all over her page posting disgusting comments, posting disgusting comments in the comment sections of news articles about her, and they've even made a fake Mollie Tibbetts FB page and put her photos over it so that it's hard to tell from the real page. And on the fake page they're posting things like suggesting that Mollie is alive and voluntarily missing.

So any time you see a rumor of something posted on "Mollie's" FB page, you have to check it's really her page and not the fake one, and watch out for these trolls posting fake rumors.

I do wish LE in the trolls locations would arrest them. It's sick to prey on people like this.

Haven't followed this one closely but it has all the earmarks of most every other missing young woman disappearing and not seen or heard from for a couple weeks. I don't think she's still alive, and I don't think she has been since the day she went missing.

I’m not normal, but I keep my phone in my pocket inside the house unless it’s charging. How else would I reply to every text/email/tweet at the speed of light? #ithinkimayhaveaproblem
O/T but I laughed at your hashtag. I have the same problem and it has only gotten worse thanks to my Apple Watch.

I am not a criminal, but if I were to commit a crime, I wouldn't just shut someone's phone off. I would take out the battery, smash whatever I could smash, do whatever I could to destroy and scatter the pieces. If they are searching for a phone along that road, I wonder if they are searching for bits of a phone. ??

IDK

Anyone find it disheartening that perhaps the increase in reward money led to a significant break? It's sad that money is that powerful. It makes you feel like Molly's life wasn't worth $2,000 to whomever came forward but the significant increase in funds was enough for someone to speak. Of course, this is just my opinion....
I have this same thought every time I see tips flow it after a reward. Makes me feel like I'm the only person who'd be willing to tell what I know in hopes of saving a life/justice just because it's the right thing to do.

The father reminded the bf that people don't want to know what they feel, they want to know about MT.

I thought that moment was very powerful and raw. Like "No one cares if we are sleeping and I certainly don't care that I am not sleeping." Nothing really to conclude but a Dad who is all in.

My words... without quote?
