I don't know that I buy into the such a small town everyone notices everything and everyone, but if that is how it is then whatever happened had to at least start out normal enough that it wasn't note worthy.

I can login to my cell phone carrier and get every call number, text message (photos) and I have also been able to get the content of the text messages - it's too bad they don't have her sign in credentials or perhaps her cell phone is under their plan?? That would be too easy.

Most college kids are on their parents’ plan so assuming that is the case her mother should be able to get whatever info is available about calls on her cell. If she has a Mac and they are able to get onto her computer they could see text messages via iMessage. They show texts even to those not using an iPhone but only ones that have synced. On my computer there are usually a few that are missing but the vast majority are there. It seems unlikely they still have her computer though. It’s probably with LE so unless they did that before they called the police they probably haven’t read her texts.

I believe the video of her father is wishful thinking on his part. I think she was taken and it's not a case of her running away. I'm praying she is found soon.

It's so sad that so many people out jogging or walking alone just disappear.

Right. I never used to view "jogging" as an "extreme" sport, but I do see it as more dangerous than I ever have, ( Mollie,Katrina, Vanessa, ect...). I also have been avoiding eating corn on the cob this summer, I can't even look at CORN the same! ~sigh~

There are so many people looking for answers, waiting to hear just a small bit of updated news, deciphering sentences, and looking for a hidden clue. Now stop and put yourself in her families shoes for just a minute. Can you imagine how any missing persons family feels? Holding out hope, clinging to the smallest tidbit of news...going days, weeks, years without having an answer. How could you function? Do you spend all day sitting by the phone, reloading websites, searching places you think they went, waiting for the doorbell to ring, worrying about bills while trying to decide if you can even work? I can't fathom the thought and I pray I am never in this situation.

If that VSCO account is legit, it does appear that she could have been struggling with some degree of mental/emotional discomfort. Some of those posts - including the last picture posted - seemed somber to me. Somewhat "crying out" even.

She was studying psychology and I didn't see her posts as alarming, more that she possibly knew others were struggling. My best friend committed suicide and we ALL missed 'signs' that in hindsight were obvious. I still have her dishes.

Any atty's out there on this one? Double check me but I think you could give a power of atty form to a trusted family member or atty to cover this issue and scenario specifically. My suggestion is to ask an atty that you trust.

JoJoJo, just wanted to say I agree with your post yesterday regarding the comments made by CW during the interview. He mentions 'man' but it could be a 'woman','women' or 'men' etc. Unless he knows more then he's letting on.

Apple cannot unlock the phone...and they won't. For good reason.
What if the person has left of their own accord?
You file a missing persons report. Then, you call Apple.... and get access to their cell phone.
What if this is a person fleeing domestic abuse?

If someone is missing because they choose to be missing (unbeknownst to their family and friends) , should the rules be bent to track them down, even though they don't want to be found?

This. People sometimes forget how quickly abductions can happen. Jaycee Dugard was stunned with a taser in broad daylight then thrown into the back of a vehicle on a reasonably busy suburb street in California and very few people saw anything.

A perp can plan things out, then roll up and either stun or subdue a victim within seconds, toss them in the back of a vehicle and take off. MT's run was believed to take her to some of the outskirts of Brooklyn around dinner time. Plus she would've been wearing earbuds and thus less able to hear a perp coming. Really not that unbelievable when you think about it IMO.

I asked a friend who is a probate attorney and he said you can't use POA to access another's phone records, at least in his state (CA).

Admittedly not what I expected her voice to sound like. Thought it would be higher pitched for some reason. Even for a teenager at the time, she speaks very well and sounds as intelligent as her fam/friends have portrayed her to be.
