You bet, we’ll plan it out and give you a comprehensive tour.
Sign a no-compete contract. Indemnify everyone from liability. Take fingerprints and DNA....

Hold a press conference...

I'm not seeing that as a possibility. I can't recall a single case where a motorist hit a pedestrian, then picked up the body, put it in the vehicle, and took it somewhere else for disposal. Not saying it isn't possible, but it would be highly, highly rare.
It happened to Mickey Shunick. In her case, it was not an accident. She was targeted while riding her bicycle. But, she was hit while on the bike, put into a truck, and taken to another location where she was killed and yet another location where her killer intended to bury her.

I also think they are receiving tons of tip due to the high amount of money raised so they have to check on all leads (small or big) they still have to check so maybe they are just making more time to check on all tips

Do more veteran members have any knowledge of cases where LE held off arresting a POI hoping they would lead them to the remains of the missing person? I only ask because I speculate that once a person is charged with homicide that they must give them a public defender who will immediately tell their client to stop talking, and with no body it's very hard to get a conviction.. just my random musings as we sit here wishing we knew where Molly was.

I think this is what’s going down

I kind of thought of something like this, but it's probably just wishful thinking. I do know sometimes lawyers here used to like to file things late in the day so that they wouldn't show up on the docket until the next day.

But I really don't think we'll get any arrests until Mollie is found, tbh.

Ha ha I don’t want to be someone that ends up on a video suspected of taking pictures of anything. Might pass on that idea. See when I get there shortly
Being a photographer I have looked up the rules regarding taking photographs a few years ago. From what I have read you are able to take photos of whatever you want from public areas. You can even take photos of a private residence as long as YOU are on public land. The private resident can ask you to stop and that is still up to you. Law enforcement can ask you to stop, but it is still within your rights to take the photos. That's why law enforcement set up barricades on roads or cover crash scenes with tarps or blankets. If you are in a business the owner can tell you to stop and you should stop out of respect. If you don't stop they can call law enforcement.

Consider the risks of holding off: 1. The suspect runs away; 2.) The suspect hurts someone else; 3.) The suspect suicides; 4.) The subject somehow destroys evidence

The longer LE waits the worse things get. Not to mention LE is not only enforcement but they have a duty to protect the public too.

why would they keep postponing this PC?
This case reminds me of the Holly Bobo case in its handling of information. For some three months we never got any factual information. Come to find out the persons who took Holly were well known in town (drugs) and I think people were afraid to come out with information.

Perhaps LE is just waiting until they have some definitive answers instead of having a PC with "we are looking at every angle, but nothing yet" I mean how many times do we want to keep hearing this . Press conferences should be to update the public with some new facts.
Lets hope LE is progressing slowly but very carefully, as they do not want to jeopardize making a clean arrest. Nothing worse then missing a technicality and having an arrest not stick.

I hope they have someone in their sites and are just keeping an eye on them until they get enough evidence to make an arrest. Sometimes that can take months their case is much stronger if it is not just circumstantial but evidence based They may even know who their suspect is with all the information pointing to one person. Will not help them unless they have cause for an arrest---all they can do is wait until the suspect slips up or commit some other crime.

They may even know who has her but do not want to spook him into killing her. Got to give LE a lot of leigh way they know what needs to be done in this case....and only they know what they can and cannot do. Lets just hope Mollie is still alive.

What does an MSM mean? Is there a thread containing websleuth lingo? I’m a rather young 20-something and I’m a part of many forums but I keep wracking my brains seeing all of the initials on the site. I even have tried googling some of these initials and acronyms. I’ve been able to gather that LE and PC mean “law enforcement” and “press conference” and NOT someone’s first & last name, at least.

M2C, in the absence of LE having new info that they are ready, willing and able to release without jeopardizing their ongoing investigation, the only purpose I can see to them holding any pcs at this point is to make continued public appeals for information or to request the local community to conduct searches of their land/properties. I wish I had heard more from LE re: encouraging/asking that people in surrounding counties do searches of vacant buildings, fields, etc. Maybe they did and I missed it, though.

I viewed their intended purpose as a way to redirect media to not contact them until the Pcs (not recalling the direct quote from the press release). And to keep her name in the public. They have stated no information will be released unless they feel it would help bring Mollie home. I've chosen to believe them and that it meant they have had a good idea of what happened. Could be wrong, been wrong many times. But I'm hopeful they know what they are doing and her family will be able to move on from wondering and waiting. JMO

Two postponed pressers leads me to believe they have something big going on.
Crossing my fingers for good news. Her family could use some answers, even it it's bad news. (Umfh, that's a tuff thing to say.)

Seems to me, however, if they have found her body/rescued her, or had a confession, they would have a suspect in custody -- unless they have heard from her and that she went where ever willingly and they know where she is. Hoping we will hear that she is alive & well and on her way home.

How long does it take to analyze DNA?

FORENSIC TESTING TURNAROUND TIMES IN 50 STATES

This may be very old data, but they read weeks to months.

I know someone who works for the BCA of Mn. I asked them once why it can take so long? They get stuff sent to them from all over the country. I was told, it is done in a matter of relevance. Such as the MT case would get priority over a John Doe. It can still take time but they would have a priority clearance because of the FBI agency.

Yes, that all makes sense. I do know that there are cases where they suspect someone of a crime, but they just don't have enough evidence to make an arrest. I imagine it's quite the delicate balancing act.

I must admit I'm clueless as to what the presser will be about on Monday as well as most everything about this case. So...in situations like this I adopt the saying: "Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst." My 2 cents FWIW!

Do we know who else had possible access to WC's farm like maybe another family member staying there or lived close to town that is familiar with the farm?
I am in total agreement with your thinking. Take that thought, and take it just one step farther

Mollie Tibbetts search: Farmer who has repeatedly been questioned admits to taking polygraph test
This is where he says he’s confident they won’t find anything. If he says he’s not sure who, why or what happened to her, how is he confident they won’t find anything?
In response to OP question only, if one is so confident nothing will be found there, maybe it's because one knows where victim was hid or placed.

LATE EDIT to clarify my response not specific to Mollie.
