Level B is the precise nomenclature. These roads really don't get any maintenance at all. No snow removal, no grading, definitely no gravel, if a bridge goes out it's usually not replaced. About the only thing the county will do is remove a tree if it falls across the road.

And because they typically have no traffic, they're actually great for jogging, biking, walking the dog, etc.

i was going to add this in my earlier post about runners' habits: if mollie felt safe in that area it's entirely possible that all of her running routes were along these little roads where there's no traffic and less people to have to run in front of. if she's running in tights and a sports bra she maybe would prefer to be out in the country where only a few farmers are checking her out from their porches rather than running through town.
when i ran highschool cross country and track in a town of 3500, surrounded by farmland, all of our team workouts were around the edge of town on roads exactly like that drone footage. if mollie also ran in highschool there's no reason she isn't still doing some of her old runs in the same places since she'd know exactly how far it is from point to point to pace herself and compare with previous times. highschool was only last summer for her.

I've been thinking for awhile the snapchat pic was taken from an unknown location.

Could the Snapchat have been taken after she was being held by someone?

I cannot find any track meet results on her despite her school hosting major track events. So I doubt she was an elite runner and was not training for competition in college. So a jogging pace for her would be closer to 8-10 minute miles. If she was planning on meeting someone, she may have been conversing with that person during her run. So let's say her typical 45 minute run could've taken 60 minutes that day. The mother sort of threw us for a loop when she suggested Mollie did not return home. DR last saw her around 8pm (this is confirmed in a live interview, instead of the 9pm typo).

If her mom's house is 2.6 miles away, why would her brother need to call her to ask if she needed a ride in the morning unless she told him to hold off on it. We know her boyfriend's roommates were not home, so how could she get a ride? I doubt she walks the 2.6 miles in the morning to get the car herself? Seems like she did have something set up with someone.

She's not too bad

Since MT was a cross country runner in HS, lives in the same town she went to HS, and a creature of habit, it is almost certain that some of her former teammates have run with her more recently. I would imagine that they, collectively, would know the routes she took. So if you gave them a few of the known points, they might know which running route she took that Wednesday evening.

No wonder I couldn't find it, they spelled her name wrong. That's a pretty good sprint. She could've averaged 7:30-8 min/mile for a multi-mile jog, in competition. I'd put her out of competition jog-for-fun multi-mile pace at 9 when you consider her route also had hills.

So the postponing of the PC was maybe down to him agreeing to take a poly on Tuesday?
I'm not trying to harp on this issue at all, and realize it's a moot point in this case, but even if he didn't save it, it could still be in her Snap camera roll. Whatever picture she takes thru the app is able to be saved by herself. Say she took a selfie to send to him and thought "Wow, I look super cute in this", she can hit the down arrow and save that photo before she hits the arrow to send. It will now be in her camera roll. And the camera roll would be viewable to anyone who had her login information. Even if they were using their own phone.

This seems possible. I do think LE has that snap photo whether it's because of a search warrant or something like you suggest

Why would the police coming to see your horse, voluntarily letting them in, when you were the last person to see a missing person startle someone? That is really something to be expected. That story makes 0 sense.<modsnipped against TOS>
I think people with issues with anxiety might be nervous in such a situation. If FBI knocked on my door I think I would be startled. He may just be a nervous person in general, in fact that's what it sounds like to me.

I’m surprised there aren’t satellites in the sky that record every movement of every town 24/7, and when a crime happens, all they hafta do is punch in a date and time and SEE what happened. Just an odd thought.

Millions of reasons why not. For one, the Earth is round. Satellites orbit round the earth. Even satellites have "black out periods". Hence why many countries like N. Korea wait until certain times to move large weapons, etc. It won't appear on the image until the satellite's next orbit or it could be well gone before the satellite comes back round. They are not stationary objects in space.

I think it was in China where an elderly man got onto an elevator that was being maintenanced and out of order. He was found several months later deceased in the same elevator. Is there any construction projects along her route that she could have had an accident at, such as manholes, etc. and became entrapped? I know this is reaching but it is the only scenario I have left that hasn’t been discussed.

I was thinking something like this too. Last month The Weather Channel app had a video of an elderly man who wandered off in a corn field and got stuck in a ditch filled with water/mud. The only way recuers could see him is with a drone.

I keep thinking of this when I see pictures of the corn fields around where Mollie disappeared. Could she have seen something that made her go into the corn? An injured dog or cat or something that she may have wished to help?

Are there any known ravines, ditches, mud pits, or even little streams in the corn fields? Could the FBI be asking WC about things like this he may know of on the property?

I was taking a break from here but alas I'm back. Her track times for the 1500 meter were sub 7min. I found them on a track website. So 1600 meter is around a mile so I would say her times without pushing her self are 745 to 8 min range.

THANKS

Black khaki yoga pants? I'm trying to picture those.
Jogging leggings but capri length which makes sense due to temp.

Yes, I always thought nothing could completely dissapear or be deleted. FBI would eventually be able to find it, I would think.

Is sitting on the porch in the evening a common thing to do out there?

Not necessarily. I don't see many of my neighbors outside at night. I just enjoy the night time as I get headaches from the sun. My husband gets upset with me because although we live in a (presumably) safe neighborhood, it's about a 15 minute walk to not-so-safe areas - Rochester NY.

One other idea before I log off and do my chores. Here in my part TN we have to worry about wildlife if walking/running any where after dark, even if nearby for keys. We have bears, coyotes, wolves. What is the rural wildlife like in Brooklyn, Iowa? Does anyone know? I also feel that both Mollie and her brother had keys to the car. Usually cars come with two sets so I doubt she was picking the car up if her keys were left at the home.

Tomorrow’s press briefing may have been pushed back because of the polygraph being taken and I’m hopeful but doubtful that they will share that info or results without an arrest. If he did this without a lawyer present that’s insane.
Great thought! They might have wanted to go through the results of that polygraph and for all we know, there could have been other people they gave polygraphs too as well.

The direct route to her mother's house is about a mile. Less than that if she were to take a shortcut or two. I'm sure she could walk that no problem.
