I think the mods should keep an eye out since so many people are new on here(including myself). It is very comforting to be in a forum where that sort of thing is not going to show up suddenly. I'm hard to scare/shock, and I am still shaken by how nasty people can be.
Even if you leave for a while because it gets to be too much, something like Mollie happens and you'll be back to hash it out, find some way to help and basically hold hands with the rest of the posters here.

I just wish I knew where the source came from
Runfar262 mentioned it in a post as well. Can that person find the source or article where it said the information about the run only lasting 15 minutes long? I think it would be significant, especially if a quote from LE

A competent polygrapher can tell you at the end of your exam how you did if he or she is permitted to do that. Most exams are very short, 4-5-6 questions. Can go longer in internal fraud cases or nat sec. He may not tell you how you did if he is examining multiple people or has been instructed not to tell you.
Police records tell us that WC is no stranger to breaking the law. As most polygraphs typically involve yes/no response to 10 or less questions, I'm hoping that WC took this exam (without deceit), to steer LE to in new direction/POI, and immediate resolution. 22 days and counting is numbing. All respect to Mollie's family, friends, and community.

It IS possible that LE is just plain baffled. If WC is elmimated, or cleared soon (or maybe already) there may not be a new suspect waiting. As many have said, this isn’t TV, and in real cases, it can take months, years or forever. If the “ping” or whatever it was did not result in a major find, they could be stuck. Her phone was probably disabled that same night. So any trail may have ended at that time. If this WAS the rare stranger abduction, i.e lile Indiana (seemingly) where do they go next? We just have to wait...

Same. We WS “lifers” will be here when the newness wears off & the waiting game really starts. Most big cases bring a huge rush of new folks (some trolls, some good, we were all new once) then most of them leave. It’ll be okay y’all. Group hug.

IMHO

Lol or people like me who created an account years ago with their actual name in it so they couldn’t post anything and then decided to make a whole new email address just so they could start posting for real :p

SharonNeedles! You had to mention "camping"!
You mentioned folks packing up their campers and heading to the fair.

Got me wondering --- how would LE confirm who actually packed up their camper and went to the fair (or where ever they told folks they were going, or where folks assumed they were going) and who packed up and went somewhere else?

Whose camper is missing too? Could that avenue help bring Mollie home?

This post ROCKS! I am also a fellow Iowan......I was LOL so loud reading this post.

This is about the truth too. People yell about tornados, & yell go to the basement! I am not afraid of them, I stand at the window watching them. LOL I think it is genetic too. LOL
I must have some Iowa DNA in me Bc i love to watch them too!!

--interesting--you can edit after 35 minutes. I didn't think the window stayed open that long.
34 minutes of rumination and regret, then one minute to clean it up! ; )

I feel better knowing I wasn't the only who thought/noticed this.

Jennifer, thank you for creating the map :) I believe that was you? Great looking dog on your profile photo too! Love German Shepherds! Incredibly loyal and intelligent dogs. It's comical how many people confuse my Belgian Malinois for one.
You’re welcome!

I love my GSD so much! He’s very loyal and intelligent and protective of me and my family. I used to never walk alone (because of cases like Mollie’s) but thanks to him I’m not nearly so anxious. It’s sad that women have to think like this about something so simple as taking a walk or a jog.

I wish the reward was for any info leading to her location and/or conviction of a perp. I fear we are past a “safe return”, can’t see it from a logical standpoint. Jmo

I very much suspect the delayed presser is because LE is tying up loose ends before charging someone with a crime. Could be WC, maybe not. Maybe more than one person.

As to LE not releasing much, I think they get 20 billion questions for every snippet of data they do release to the public. And their valuable time is spent responding to inquires about said released snippet.

We'll see what Monday brings.

JMVHO.

While the thread was locked, I was looking over the Google Maps that I believe Jennifer marked with locations and information (wonderful job btw, thank you for taking the time to do so) and my heart sunk when I realized there is a Truck Stop of America just off I-80 to the south of Brooklyn and a Pilot Travel Center to the southeast of Brooklyn and due north of WC's location off I-80 as well. At this point I imagine somebody else on WS has noticed this and mentioned it, if so I apologize.

Those I-80 Truckstops are a bit notorious. I don't know if that one is bad or not. But one in the Davenport (Quad Cities) area is complete with prostitutes.
You can also stock up on illicit drugs.

This may not be related at all but we are kind of spinning our wheels here and I was the one who looked into daily crime logs for her college, U of I, but couldn't find anything farther back than early June.

I did find this article on a different forum but since this is a news article, I think it's OK to share the actual article here. The article below does not name the man. It sounds like he has harassed and stalked several females from her school, online and even in person. I guess you never know...

Also, people in college frequently trade and buy/sell things to each other via Facebook groups and WhatsApp for a deal. I got the majority of my textbooks from other students in the college buy/sell groups. There are plenty of ways a random acquaintance could have gotten her address.

In fact, there could even be creeps lurking in those college trade/sell groups posing as a college student with something to buy from another college student.

These are just some possibilities I’m playing out in my mind.

I remember seeing that, but it was several threads ago. At the time, I assumed that there was some confusion about when she started her run (either 7:30 or 7:45). I will look for a link, but I don't have a lot of time to search this evening.

Wasn’t she moving to a new apartment?

Could she have come in contact with random people via internet virtual garage sale websites? They need to look at her internet and see if she sold anything or was planning to.

Craigslist, as we know, is one way for a random person to get your address and come by. They should also look at any previous sales via the web she may have made because someone could have bought something from her in the past and knew she’d be there alone.

Was she looking for roommates? Many college friends would post on Facebook groups that they were seeking a roommate.

What if she came in contact with a stranger via apartment hunting and TOLD them she’d be spending time alone at her BF’s house?

She would have been heading to the University of Iowa sometime this month (August).

Camping at the State Fair in Iowa is a big deal. I don’t do it myself, but lots of friends and family do. Most of them headed out today and the campgrounds are full.

When I saw the thread was locked I hoped we had an arrest and everyone was celebrating by behaving badly. Sad to see it's more of the same and we still don't have Mollie.
Is that the plan? Behave badly when we have an arrest, or just plain find her? Lol jk
