Yes. Exploding now.

The media has interchangebly described Mollie's jogging attire (black shorts & a sports bra), and her work uniform (red t shirt & denim shorts). That's nothing new, said that from the get-go, as her family claimed they could not find her red shirt.

What we don't know is were the black short, sports bra, and running shoes in the apartment? That info is key to the timeline.

Dear locals,
Where are the FBI and state police searching today?

  • #27
"We are re-posting this info and want to help clarify information shared earlier this week. Mollie did not disappear while running, rather, at some point after 10pm on July 18 after messaging her boyfriend. She was staying in Brooklyn, Iowa. #FindingMollieTibbetts"

This is per the @AmesPolice twitter 1 hour ago FWIW

Wow. Ok. Is this correct? Are they handling the investigation?

So she arrived home and nothing was untoward at 10pm?

What a mess, LE really need to release and clarify information imo (9 days and some failed searches from online rumours) - They are clearly stumped and I do not buy they are trying to entice or lair somebody they have an eye on

Mobile phones (Google track your every move) .. she had a Fitbit on, she would be connected to her home WiFi (They would know when her phone disconnected from the WiFi left the house)

Any attacker or person carrying a smartphone would be identifiable in that area.

4 threads now and still nothing, really unfortunate. Poor Molly.

The fact that they spent 12 hours searching the hog farm, before moving down about half a mile and spending another 8 hours or so searching with K-9 makes me think they've at least got last known location in that area. I would be really surprised if they put that much manpower because of a random tip.

I don't think they are handling the investigation. I think the returned home thing seems to be reported in multiple places and I'm starting to think that *may* be accurate, but I don't think the 10pm time is necessarily correct.

I also think she may have returned home and then left again, if she was really planning to go to her mother's house. It's all very unclear... I tend to think an abduction from outside is more likely than inside as I think it would be much harder to leave no trace from inside the house. IMO, it would make more sense for her to be lured outside the house or grabbed en route to mom's house....

From the previous thread, in response to your post ChuckMaureen. (I'm not sure how to use this new WS site, or bring over the posts from previous thread, sorry all)

LE and FBI are not saying much or giving any indication to the public to be aware or observant. The info provided by LE not only feels minimal but it feels like it is purposefully not being clear. What has been released is all over the place and with the FBI involved, I would assume they are there for more than support. Are they attempting to make the perp slip up?

Also, I have often seen LE tell the public to be on the lookout for individuals who missed work, had scratches on their body, are acting strangely, inserting themselves into the investigation, etc...the LE tell the community what to look for and request that kind of tips or assistance.

JMO

I have felt this way from the beginning!! Nothing makes ANY sense and this is usually not the case with things like this. No public warning at all.. zero! Just call in tips if you have them.. what is being released is often contradicting what was released prior.. no press conference to really clear things up.. it seems they announce info to clear things up, but that info is confusing and the announcement was so short.... they must want the confusion for a reason. If they urgently needed the publics help, I feel like they would be quick to do a press conference where they respond to questions.. they have not done that.. The official Find Mollie page has been silent since July 24th..

Following....and I can’t believe the inconsistencies!

Somebody had to stop by or pick her up

The vast majority of the inconsistencies have turned out to be bad reporting, not LE.

What has the Ames police department got to do with this case anyway?

Last he spoke with her is a month ago, doesn’t seem like a close friend, especially as they roll all those photos with all female friends. I don’t find this person to be someone close to her

I live just outside Brooklyn, and work in town. This year's graduating class had roughly 40 kids in it- kids that grew up together and many of their parents are friends, siblings are friends. I'm sure he considers Mollie a friend, as she probably does him. Being such a small town (and school) most of the kids are a close group. I overheard one mention that she can't date most of the guys in school because they are like her brothers.
As we all know, life gets in the way, especially if you are a busy young adult- it'd be easy to get caught up with work and family and school, go a month and not speak to someone you were close to all your life.

unless she went running in the morning because she was going to be at work all day

They don't seem to be releasing very much about her transportation arrangements other than the brother dropping her off from somewhere.

I followed the trials...well BM is still ongoing investigation. They questioned him and released him and then put him under surveillance. It wasnt until he brought a sex worker home they stormed in and found the guy tied up and arrested BM.

DM was questioned about Tim Bosma and then also watched I believe.

There are some others on Forensic Files I can't think of them off the top of my head. But I do recall ones of parents being killed by their son, who was also questioned then let off.

Not arresting is not close to the same thing as clearing.

It seems like they really don't need our help at all at this point. They seem to know what they're doing and the direction they're going.

I mean as bad as the information flow has been I get this sense of strong focus.

Following....and I can’t believe the inconsistencies!

Is this the worst you've seen? My head is spinning.
