Well I wouldn’t want my daughters posting themselves in bras and panties and then to have them public...perhaps it’s a generational thing...I cant see anything wrong with the pictures.

Don't feel alone. I had to read four threads to get caught up and I already know I've missed things too!![]()
That's the vibe I get too. I think she was aware of mental health issues and was joining in the effort of making mental health an issue we can discuss (rather than hide). I don't think the posts in and of themselves necessarily mean she was having suicidal or self-harm thoughts.I don't see any connection at all with the suicide and mental health postings. Those have been making the rounds on all forms of social media for several months now since the suicides of celebreties Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain. There was a concerted effort to reach out on social media to anyone who might need help. You could look at my own FB account and think the same things. I was simply doing what everyone else was doing...sharing.
She is a psychology major...explains the suicide and the mental health gun posts. Likely even being covered in class.I don't see any connection at all with the suicide and mental health postings. I'm not sure it's a lie, but what others have suggested as far as LE stating confusing statements/not releasing information in order to relax a suspect is a possibility in this case. There was a missing person recently in my area that was found murdered. From the very beginning, LE said that the friend he was with was not a suspect, but now they're starting his trial for murder. I'm hoping this isn't the outcome for Mollie.
Are you not seeing the bra and panties posts?I don't know if it helps, but these look like work out selfies to me.
They are also G rated compared to what many 10-15 year old girls are posting publicly.
Why in the world would she not wear her glasses or contacts to walk the dog?
DCI: “We think she’s still alive,” not scaling back efforts to find Mollie Tibbetts
With LE stating they believe she is still alive leads me to believe that they think she is being held against her will. The perp may be someone who was obsessed with her or someone who admired her from afar. She may not have been aware. It could be someone she knew from high school, someone who works nearby or just an acquaintance since the town is so small. This person may not have had any contact at all with her but might have been scouring her social media accounts for any information about her. They took this opportunity when they saw she would be alone in that house.
I don't think the fact they searched the pig farm means anything. It appears law enforcement got that tip from social media and were perturbed that it was misleading.
I think so too. If they truly are alluding to this then I hope they have a bucket full of evidence we don’t know about. I know they can just go with the odds in an investigation and assume she’s dead but putting something as comparatively rare as an abduction with her being held alive but no ransom out as a major possibility seems like a leap. If they have the evidence to believe that, great. Clearly I hope she’s alive. But if they are saying they believe she’s alive without anything more than absence of proof of death, then that’s kind of cruel to the family. I have also heard them say they hope she’s alive. That’s completely understandable and acceptable. But the word “believe” to me has a whole different level of hope associated with it which at this point would need evidence to justify. What they are possibly alluding to (her being held against her will), seems like something that is kind of rare, or is it not? I know it has happened before, but it seems like it would be really difficult to pull off in a small town where everyone is looking for her. If it is the case, and someone has her, I hope they realize they need to let her go without harming her. I just feel like it would be extremely unlikely that someone local could be holding her somewhere in the town.
All IMOO
There are media links at the top of the thread. Might be worthwhile to read them to get up-to-date on her clothing description.I am just reading about this case. The first issue I have is her reported clothing. Who jogs in denim shorts?
The clothes she was reported to last be seen in has changed, it's confusing and frustrating. At first it was a black sports bra then changed I think to pink? To be honest, I don't know what the police are now saying she was last seen in.I am just reading about this case. The first issue I have is her reported clothing. Who jogs in denim shorts?
And all the people saying “there’s nothing wrong with the pictures”. She’s in her bra and panties in her room...maybe it’s the younger generation...personally provocative though IMO. I never even heard of this site.So agree! Privacy setting options for this app are almost non-existent. Why does this generation want so many SM apps? I’m asking my daughter abt this today. NO VSCO PLEASE!
What about a bikini? It’s the same thing! I think she was proud of how her body was looking after all the running she does and was showing the results rather than trying to be anything else. She’s smiling like she’s pleased not posing in a seductive way. MOOWell I wouldn’t want my daughters posting themselves in bras and panties and then to have them public...perhaps it’s a generational thing...
Welcome to WS!!I would agree with this that law enforcement searched the pig farm purely based on a tip. Do they really have nothing to go on as far as a POI? I also find it hard to believe that Mollie lives in such a small town, where everyone knows everyone, and yet there's only been one eye witness that saw her the day she supposedly went missing. I know how rumor mills spread like wild fires in small towns (I come from one in Iowa) so I find it hard to believe that there isn't a single person in the community that knows something or knows someone that behaves suspiciously. Any thoughts on this? Reminds me how tight lipped the community was in the Tara Grinstead case.
New to WS, so apologies if I'm repeating a point someone has already made.
