so much to do about nothing. it is what it is i guess

I think they know something. Presser done to put pressure on a person/s???

  • #123
"All I'm saying, we do not know where Mollie is right now."

  • #124
"We can't tell you why Mollie is missing"... What???

  • #125
Asked if any persons of interest, he hesitated, then gave general answer.

Q: do you think the public is at risk?

He's having a lot of trouble answering this. Won't say yes or no but just "they don't know exactly what happened"

Is the public at risk, was a question from reporter. Answer: We don't know why Mollie is missing. Everyone should take normal precautions.

  • #128
POIs? We are pursuing every lead available to us.
We can't tell you why Mollie is missing

  • #129
What a waste of a presser. No answers to anything at all

This case is so bizarre. I've never seen anything like it, usually timeline is the first thing released.

Lot of hesitation in answers, especially when asked about a POI or if public is at risk.

Can't say if Public is at risk. Take Standard Precautions

The differences between a stranger abduction and a familer abduction are pretty striking. They would be blasting out info like crazy if they thought this was a stranger abduction. Imo

"We can't tell you why Mollie's missing."

I think it's really interesting in the extent to which they're steadfastedly giving non-answers. It does make me think they have a lot of information that they aren't sharing.

  • #135
Watching the live coverage I feel like they covered a brief request to call the tip line but so far the majority of the coverage is about how they need to keep the coverage close to the vest. I really am leaning that they have a good idea what happened and who is responsible. The pause when asked about a POI stood out to me.

Still getting new leads and tips.

he struggled big time answering that

Press conferences will be every few days. Asked reporters to save questions for the conferences to allow investigators to focus their time on the case.
Save your questions for the press conference, so we can decline to answer them all at that time. What a waste of time.

All he will say is they don’t know where Molly is right now. We can’t tell you how Molly is missing.

This press conference should have been held 10 days ago.

Paraphrasing:

“All the details are super important and we need you to give us any info you have, but we’re not going to tell you any of the details we know because we really don’t know anything.”

The fact that they wouldn’t say that the public is at risk makes me think she is either missing willingly. They won’t say they are checking bodies of water. I think she is missing willingly.
