I had a thought at that point was that if there is a POI, it is someone whose identity will be upsetting to learn. JMO
Yes, like someone well liked or promi
I am still hopeful that "the tip" may come through after today's press conference which will solve this.

Someone knows something but perhaps they haven't realized it yet.

The more often the authorities remind everyone to call in even what they think is an insignificant detail, the greater chance the call will be made.

My hope is still great that Mollie will be found alive. I will always have hope unless there is proof otherwise.
Yes, LE is probably hoping someone(s) has(have) not realized yet that what they've observed could be key to solving the case of Mollie's disappearance and will come forward any day now and contact them about something off or different in someone they know's usual behavior. Mollie was going about her regular life and routine when she disappeared from a small town in high summer. Something went amiss, and even the most cold, calculating sociopaths are not as savvy as they think they are in terms of "acting normal" after such an event. Hope they (LE) smoke him/her out ASAP with leads from people who knew her and saw something out of the ordinary in someone;s behavior!

Very odd to ask her to come home. Typically family pleads to whoever has their loved one to please let her go. When they plea to the missing loved one they will often say we will find you hang on. They don’t appeal to them to come home because they assume they can’t by their own free will. I hope to god this isn’t suicide. What are we missing here? If it’s an crime/abduction/, how? With the amount of LE and law enforcement on this, they would have found something. Tire evidence, something?!
Runaway, well why would she have done her homework. Why would she be planning to go to coworker party, the wedding, why is nothing at all missing?
Suicide: like someone pointed out, she doesn’t have a car so where is she if she did that? Surely LE would have found her in such a small town.

Laura Terrell KCCINews interview with Mollie’s Mum tonight

It’s just an emotional roller coaster. The past 2 weeks have felt like 2 years.” Mollie Tibbetts mom told me she has no clue where her daughter is. Authorities aren’t releasing any new information tonight. @KCCINews

She says she knew right away something was terribly wrong when Mollie didn’t show up for work - very out of character. She’s just dumbfounded. Tells me Mollie was compassionate, down to earth, a great friend. No enemies. Can’t imagine anyone who would want to hurt her @KCCINews

Her message for Mollie tonight? “Come home. So many people are worried for you and praying for you. We need you here....this family isn’t a family without Mollie.” @KCCINews #FindingMollieTibbetts

Omg why does it matter who works where in Ames etc. as far as boyfriend’s family, fiance...

The board is so slow, it takes forever even just to scroll past it all.

I can’t see the point of reading any press coverage on this case. It is the most $*$&ed up mess of unprofessionalism I have ever seen.

The stories regarding whereabouts and distances keep changing.
When easy facts change, hinkyness grows.
In this case, it is hard to tell if the changes are due to lousy reporting or other reasons.
Multiple choice question; was it fifty miles, one-hundred miles or one-hundred and twenty-two miles?
(all three choices have been reported)

Ugh!

Just yo clarify...two brothers of Mollie and the boyfriend of Mollie are cleared of suspicion. Did LE officially say if yhey cleared the boyfriends brother. Forgive me if I missed that post. Just Trying yo catch up.

From the new AP article.

Mollie might have guessed as much:

Blake jokingly told his brother that he should propose to Tibbetts, his high school sweetheart, during the trip.
Might that have resulted in pressure upon her if she worried about being able to answer in the affirmative, if asked, and might that pressure have caused her to exit the scene?

Its positioning of importance (second graf, AP article) seems to suggest we take such ideas seriously in a case of this nature.

Does anyone recall a case from the 1990s in Canada where a husband and wife shared a place with the wife’s sister. I can’t remember the last name.

There sure is a bright orange carrot dangling here now, isn't there?
TV time!

Nothing like having the articles suddenly start misprinting someone's name to have further verification of how little fact checking/ editing/ accuracy checking they're doing...

They are all trying to out fail the DailyMail.

Have the police searched along the old railroad grade that runs from guernsey to deep river? That may be the area that the triangulation indicated, and they didn't realize the old grade is there but instead looked at pig farms?

<modsnip> Kind of odd no one's talking about her morning driver in the am she appears to have gone missing...

IF IN DOUBT about what you're posting, ASK a mod first. It's painless. I just did.

There certainly is. Finally, readers are seeing some examples of what the tip authorities need might look like!

From the article:

Mollie’s father Rob told Dateline the most important thing is for the public to call police if they saw anything out of the ordinary in the days surrounding Mollie’s disappearance.

“Did a neighbor come home late that doesn’t ever come home late? Or was a car on the street that didn’t belong? Or was someone walking on the street that didn’t belong?” he said. “If you’re suspicious about a relative or someone you know but you’re reluctant to call the tip line, show the courage and call. Because if someone has nothing to hide, then they have nothing to fear.”

❤️ it!
Still laughing. Thanks.

Just to clarify: Mollie's older brother is clear. The last person to see her alive. The neighbor is clear. He saw her jogging. The boyfriend is clear, he is 100 miles away. Mollies other brother is clear.

Boyfriends brother canceled wedding.

“Blake Jack says the cancelled wedding plans are nothing compared to what the town is going through. ”

I'm kinda thrown off by the wording here. I would have thought he would have said; compared to what Mollie must be going through. But who knows people word things funny sometimes when they have a mic stuck in their face. Am in no way suggesting he had anything to do with mollie missing, just struck me as a little odd. MOO
