If it happened in the house, why did LE not scour it from top to bottom. Did they and we do not know?

A few thoughts. 1. Often times the simplest explanation is most likely 2. perhaps no unknown dna was in the house because perpetrator <modsnipped> visited frequently. 3. perhaps mollie had sympathy for this person. she has been described as wanting others to be happy. maybe she was aware of this person's feelings and did not see danger. 4. I think there is a good chance the perpetrator headed east on route 80 after the crime. 5. I'm sure they have a suspect
or she locked herself out

Hi all, I've been following, but keeping quiet, as this one has me confused. I just keep going over and over the same things in my head.

One question.... we know that Mollies Fit Bit and Phone are missing. I also read somewhere that she normally ran with her fitbit, phone attached to arm and wireless earbuds. Has it been stated anywhere if the earbuds are accounted for or are they also missing?

I haven't seen anything that says if the earbuds were accounted for or not, but it has been super hard to keep up!

No contacts? No glasses?

Right, this is someone who knew her routine. Got up, took out the dogs and got ready for work, she was living there after all... also jives with the "getting to know Mollie" comment from LE. Watch her take out the dogs and then followed her in the house...whomever took her completely surprised her and subdued her quickly or she went very willingly, otherwise she would have had time to fire off a 911... easy to do from all phones these days.

There is no way that she could get on a plane without using her ID. If she had done so, LE would know.

I totally agree, and I seriously doubt that is what happened. But while I know they said her wallet was left behind, have they actually indicated that her IDs (driver's license, passport, school ID, etc) have been accounted for?

I haven't seen any photos or mention of crime scene tape around the home. Anyone?
I haven’t either and I hadn’t thought about that until now. That seems like a pretty important fact. If they thought it was at all possible she was taken from that house it would have been sealed off as a crime scene.

Even if they did scour it, they wouldn't release the scene just yet. I think they are playing purposefully dumb to try to relax the suspect.....the more they look confused, the more relaxed he/she/they get....an extra hour spent here, an extra night spent here, etc. They've got to have a pulse on this one - you don't see the issues with press releases and statements with the FBI involved unless there is a purpose.

I feel pretty confident they did as much as possible given that multiple people had likely been in and out before they would get a chance to do so.

Does it make any sense at all . The family says she was doing homework late. So maybe it is kmown she was elsewhere.

But what about the contacts and glasses then

And this is why im confused, Dushi. Thanks for responding. Are people supposed to be looking for her running outfit or the red shirt and denim? I know I saw early on it was her running outfit.

Personally, I'm going by the description released during the presser by LE themselves. I'm not sure why the red shirt is still an issue.

If Mollie was abducted from her home after she had been doing homework, it's also possible that someone entered the house through an unlocked front door while she was jogging.

For example, Russell Williams was known to enter homes and remain silent/hidden in the home until he decided to attack. His last victim, Jessica Lloyd, was assaulted at her home and then moved to a second location where he continued to assault her. He parked his vehicle in the trees along the side of her property.

Yes. But wouldn’t they tape it off so they could do as much forensics as possible?

First time here- Just wanted to say you are a spectacular group of people!!!
As for Mollie- to me she seems squared away 100 percent- she seems to have all aspects of her life where they should be- positive relationships with family, bf, coworkers, a college major etc. I just don't see her as recklass in any way- not a risk taker- She seems 100 percent put together- I do feel she is alive I do feel she is being held by someone she knows- not inner circle but knows in an more casual manner- it is so very heartbreaking to see those who care for her speak- I don't know Mollie but admire her for being 20 and so put together- I cannot imagine where she is or what she is going thru but my thoughts stay with her- praying for her - By recklass I mean I do not think she had some side love interest or would be going to crazy parties while her bf was out of town or anything like that.

I don't know. I guess it depends on what they found or thought they could find. With whatever issues they may have in some ways, I feel pretty good about the FBI and DCI being able to appropriately handle the scene and determine what needed to happen with it.

That makes sense for sure. What about the dogs and LE probably not sealing the house, though

Would they not still seal it and do heavy duty forensics

One would hope that the home was forensically examined, but given that investigators have had difficulty determining where she was when she was abducted, perhaps the home was completely compromised by the time investigators arrived. That is, how many people had been in and out of the house before police realized that something was seriously wrong?

but her attacker would let her bring her phone along? and you'd think they would have crime scene tape up and not allow anyone in the house if that was the case... also the two dogs would not have acted normally if there was someone hiding in the house....she knew this person.

Have you ever heard of a crime scene not being sealed?

What difference would that make? Would they still not make their own tests?
