I’m not surprised. I imagine Defendant was repeatedly Mirandized (advised of right to remain silent, anything he says can be used against him and right to legal counsel) and given an opportunity to have an interpreter. Based on press conference it sounds like he was very cooperative.

It's a very ugly direction to take this topic. It wasn't our american culture that raised this monster but they would have all american men punished.

many American men have done the same thing. and they should be punished if they did this. if you aren't those men, you shouldn't be worried.

Oh that's convenient---problem for me is how did he know to make a U-turn into the cornfield if he did not know what he did and that he needed to dispose of her body.

Ah, you picked up on that too. How did he even know that little road existed out into a field? I'm betting he was very familiar with that area because it was probably dark by the time they reached that point. Therefore, he about had to know ahead of time that he could get into that field or he was driving very slowly, inching along in the dark, watching for exactly that kind of opening in a fence that he could drive down into a field. However, without knowing the area, he could not be sure someone did not live back there.

Yes, but the post said Molly's prejudices or lack of prejudices may have led to what happened. Meaning, she should have been scared of him from the start. She couldn't have known his immigration status from looking at him, she couldn't have known she was in danger by looking at him. So I don't see how she should have known to be afraid of him before he did anything.

She WAS afraid of him, and pulled out her phone and told him she was going to call the police. I seriously doubt it had anything to do with his ethnicity. Women are afraid of men because for centuries we've been victimized by them. Women are vulnerable, every single day. If someone wants to commit a heinous act against us, it's tough to defend ourselves. The arrest warrant documents his confession. I am really disheartened and disturbed that people are already starting to make this about race and immigration status. More on self defense classes, I took one as well, and the truth is, that I don't have it in me to scream and throat punch. I am quiet, and extremely non violent.

Self defense classes don't solve everything and they can't change or rewire your brain.

I heard it as he had to look at his phone (reversing map) to figure out how to get out of the corn field area (but then led them to the area last night or this morning by memory). That was odd, for sure.

I'm still confused but here's the part:

It looks to be the far east of Brooklyn. The Affidavit says something like "east out of Brooklyn" so I read it as 385th St heading east out of town.

The daily mail article stated he was living in a farm house on the dairy farm he worked with other workers, with his gf and baby.

The way he preyed on Mollie reminded me of someone many of us know by the name of Jesse Matthews. This guy turned around his car and followed Mollie the same way Jesse Matthews turned around and followed Hannah Graham in downtown Cville. A lot later came out about Matthews being linked to many women- including Morgan Harrington. So it will be interesting to see what develops with this .

I disagree. If I go search on MT's FB Friend list with the name of someone who is tagged in his photo, it comes up. They have a mutual FB friend.

Yep adseg 23-24 I can agree with that. Protective custody probably since high profile. He’ll just be escorted outside his cell anywhere he goes with deputies.

I’m no where near caught up, but I’ve seen enough to be absolutely SICK. She must have been terrified — I know how it feels to be scared, even when there’s no concrete reason for the fear. I can only imagine the moment when she realized what danger she was in. I’m heartbroken, and P*SSED OFF on several levels. UGGGH!!!!!!
