Being in Texas I know for a fact it’s very easy to be over looked. Even in small towns.
Pay cash and drive illegally. No big deal to them they are in America after all

Really? Wow...I feel like I use my ID here in TN nonstop everyday.

I am interested insofar as how LE tracked him.

My understanding is that they tracked the car. They saw Mollie in video/s and the car in the back round. Then it was a matter of finding out who was driving the car.

Absolutely! They did a wonderful job. Considering there were no witnesses that could even identify a suspect they did a phenomenal job of piecing this together. Kudos to them. Still my heart sinks knowing although her family has some form of closure, it is not the happy one they had prayed for :(

I absolutely agree with you Raven CC2020,
LE (local and federal) did an absolutely phenomenal job solving this case.
Many Many hours of watching that video is painstaking, tedious, specific, and nerve-wracking.
They were very focused, very dedicated and solved this quickly.

"Working around the clock" doesn't even begin to touch it probably.

Heartbreaking.
As a fellow keen runner who loves to head out into rural countryside I can only begin to imagine what went through her mind in those final moments.

What a waste.

Don't you have to automatically serve your sentence where you committed your crime? Think of Amanda Knox in Italy.

Yes you do-isn’t that what I said? I thought I was clear that the sentence is served here first, and then the deportation occurs

What is so scary about his FB from a general look? The guns? Almost the whole south has pictures of guns on their FB. Am I missing anything?
That is not pictures of his guns. the time stamp on pic is 2004 when he would have been 11-years-old. No evidence he use or even has any guns.

So this 🤬🤬🤬 told police all these details, that he got out of the car, ran alongside Mollie, that she wanted to call police, and that he chased her down? he admitted all that? and then he blacked out (sure, right, he blacked out, unaware, after he caught her and did the unspeakable.....🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.
LOL! I am sure when he goes to trial the prosecution will rip that account into tiny little pieces---like he should be.

For very specific ill individuals yes, but your statement inferred it effects the masses. Is there a link (or book title as you typed) that shows a correlation of games/movies to increase murder by that specific manner?
My point is this. Fantasy is an important aspect of lust murder. Media feeds this fantasy. There isn’t evidence that media makes people kill, rather it plays a role in regard to the fantasy that some of these people are acting on. It doesn’t mean that a normal person plays violent video games and is encouraged to go out and kill.

Heartbroken for Mollie’s loved ones and for all of us.
What a sorrowful day.
Grateful though that they found this sweet girl so her family & friends know what happened.
I think about YingYing Zhang and so many other dear souls who haven’t properly been laid to rest so at least there is that.
Kudos to the investigators who brought us to this point. Bravo to the FBI. What a tough case they solved.

You should set up your system to only record when there is movement. That's the way most of them are.
I have the small solar panels. That way, never a power down.

Someone said earlier LE should have gotten the video immediately, well according to the arrest warrant they did. It says they got it "shortly after MT was reported missing".

I truly hope someone from this case writes about it. So we can learn the particulars. I believe they had a most difficult mountain to climb.

Just heard. Ugh. :(

didnt say they were his, I too believe it was picture of someone's else that was posted to look cool. im honestly curious what is scaring ppl about his FB profile?

I'm curious since I haven't been involved in a case like this. If a perp is on parole or has prior run ins with the law, is that relevant information that is allowed to be discussed?

Yes!!!!

and then it m

someone else might not be, where ever he would have been .....irrelevant he is a murderer, no matter where he landed .
What an interesting perspective. He would have done this in another country possibly. And it would have been equally sad.
