I think he means black out. It is the way he is pronouncing it that sounds like blockout.
Basically means the same, except you intentionally block something out . A black out is when there is a period of time when you dont remember something.

I went back to Maps Media and Timeline. I want to go back to a couple things that have nagged at me for some time.

1. "... he dragged Tibbetts on foot from his vehicle to a secluded location in a cornfield,"

Who was on foot? CR? This makes no sense. How else was he going to drag her out of the trunk....on roller skates?? Naturally he was on foot.

Unless...he is partially lying partially telling the truth. Could it have been....just hear me out.... That she was fighting him but yet was drug on foot to a secluded location in a cornfield???

2. "...came to at an intersection.” Rivera told police he “then made a U-turn, drove back..."
Again he is probably partially lying partially telling the truth. Could it be that "made a u turn and drove back tot he cornfield? Then this would be the time frame he would "throw her over his shoulder and take her 20 feet into the cornfield and cover with with corn stalks?

I have more to add, but I would like others take on this first.

My thoughts are is that he did both but at 2 different locations... the dragging at 1900 block 385 by her feet and the throw over the shoulder 20 ft into the cornfield where she was left.

This poor excuse for a man wants to blame MT. <modsnipped- websleuths does not condone violence>

Good Morning Harmony! Where is the coffee?
For all the work Harmony has done on all of these threads, we should be sending Harmony coffee and doughnuts, muffins, candy and flowers!

I won’t believe much until the filings are revised just prior to the prelim hearing August 31.

Rivera has lived a life lie for at least 7 years and either can’t or won’t tell the truth. It makes an investigation much more difficult but in the end investigators will get it right.

I’m very impressed with the time of the investigator from the state police. He was committed to keeping details secret and was successful. He didn’t mince any words at last Tuesday’s PC by starting with “A first degree murder...........”. It had an impact and after the initial shock wire off the public saw the very human side of the man.

One if the most important aspects of an investigation is to never forget the incident from a victims point of view. And he didn’t. After informing the family of the arrest, he told them they had raised a PHENOMENAL daughter. His statement was genuine and it came across that way.

Raised on a similar area in Michigan, I understand the farming and hard work culture. 99% if these people would give you their last dollar long before you asked. Nothing in Brooklyn, Iowa warned residents that Rivera was lurking in their midst. Not one hint existed that would have warned Mollie that a murderer was waiting for her. And nothing she could’ve done would have changed her fate.

Now that locals understand evil like Rivera exists, they are assessing a communities innocence list. No one will ever venture outside their homes without thinking of Mollie Tibbetts.
