Just the fact that the "earbud
came up in his vocabulary and "on his lap"...... I am guessing these are things that really play a part in what happened.

I'm wondering if wore them to block out her sounds and finish what he came to do. It could have dropped out of his ear if they were wireless onto his lap in the car. IDK

Honestly, I used to have zero fear...used to run and was just taking it back up again....I realized, just not safe, constantly looking over my shoulder running in some decent areas and others areas, a weird vibe! I just committed to 3 months of Pilates, I refuse to be on alert every moment of my run, just not enjoyable or worth it

I looked at that picture and I can't see any damage. It looks like a clean shiny car with a lot of reflection to me. I think the picture was from too far away to see any damage. If there is a close up of it, then I might change my mind.

This is what I stated when brought up in the last thread. I do not think there is any damage to that right front corner. I believe the spot in question is a reflection. However, I do think it is possible that the red plastic cover that I believe should be on that rear corner panel is broken/missing. And it's possible that there may be damage or tape at the rear of the back window.

Ok so in other words if an act of rape, and anything associated with it is also the cause of death it is NOT considered a predicate felony? What exactly is a predicate felony?

Are you talking about premeditation?

The felony murder rule says that premeditation exists if the defendant was participating in a forcible felony like sexual abuse. JMO

All women have or have potentially been a victim. Sadly, this has been our reality for way too long. I get tired of not being able to work late for fear of being attacked in the parking garage, not being able to just park my car without having to do a level 10 exit analysis. God forbid that I ever get to go on a walk in a park by myself. I have screwdrivers crammed in every nook and cranny of my car just in case. I think it is very healthy for these young women to discuss this openly.

In my mind there is nothing that they will find that will" justify" what he did. The black out story simply isn't believable. It is way too convenient. If anything, what they find may even work against him and expose him for who he really is.

What makes CR's "blocked memory" claim relevant is he said it during initial interrogation... the defense could argue he was forthcoming and did not have time to develop that aspect of what happened. I am NOT claiming any of this as fact; I'm simply approaching this as I believe a defense lawyer might. I am curious though as to exactly when CR said it, was it before or after having consulted with counsel.

"Sexually Motivated" yes it appears his intention was to hit on her. I don't know if his intention was so sexually assault her nor do I see any evidence at this point he did.



Yea I don't agree there was any intent to commit a crime until he was rejected. I also don't agree with a couple posts here saying a jury would convict him with sexual assault without evidence. I mean look the guy is terrible for what he did, but the reason we have the legal system is so people get charged for the correct crimes and not charged based on peoples assumptions. In order for that to happen he evidence needs to be there. No matter how obvious it is to us and others that he did these terrible acts if you look at just the evidence his lawyer is obviously looking for loop holes, because notice in the confession CR never admits to actually killing her.

CR confession is very carefully stated that he chased her then doesn't remember anything else until he is in the car. He never mentions in the confession he killed her. He "chased" her, then all of a sudden he remembers nothing else until he remembered he put her in the trunk. Then he dragged her body after he conveniently found her in his car. I hope the prosecution gets enough facts where they can just open and shut this and not have it drag on by the defense.

I don't see CR's statement carefully stated. We have been only give "parts"... We don't have a LE video (yet), and we don't have a written statement. We haven't even been given the full autopsy report.

I think the poster is just referencing some current articles which haven't been validated and not saying it doesn't happen....

But the taxpayers will still pay for him for a very very long time should he make it in prison. I say he should serve his sentence in a Mexican prison but that is not how it works.

$92 and change a day. However, I still want to know how much Louisiana would charge Iowa to put CR to work in the farm fields at Angola. The guards are on horseback. It also has cattle, and CR could work his way back up to the dairy.
Angola is self-sufficient. It grows the food that it feeds the inmates with, using convict labor, in the hot Delta sun! It sells the surplus to defray costs. It even has a rodeo every year. Call your state rep and ask why your state prison is not a good, old fashion, prison farm!

Good point on the last bit. As to the rest, well good luck to the defense if that's indeed what they will do. I just don't see how they are going to get around it.

Could 2 cars have been used for stalking Mollie: same day/ other times?
Is there an Accomplice also involved before/after locating Mollie's body?
Did the Accused (with Mollie's 'blood evidence') enter a second car later, leaving evidence?
Is there a second person, having knowledge of this horrid situation. before the arrest?

Agree. My best case scenario is she fought so hard and enraged him he didn't have time to assault her. A Gal can hope right? sigh.....

except that he had plenty of time after she was killed to have his way with her. if he did, I hope it can be proven somehow.

I have a very different perspective of what happened. "Hitting on her", and "no intent to commit a crime until he was rejected" don't seem to have anything to do with this abduction and murder.

This man stalked Mollie. Accosting her while she is jogging is not "hitting on her". The only consequence of accosting a jogger on a remote road is rejection.

Exactly, that's the gamble you take when you feel the State's case is weak. If they can't clearly show intent, make 'em prove their case, or set 'em free. I'm not doing 10 - 20 for manslaughter if you can't prove I meant to kill him! Ever play Poker?

Getting past that pesky "multiple sharp-object trauma" thing will likely not be so easy.

Certainly, but many of us have prepared and trained to be aware. I carry one of my 'friends' with me on virtually every outing.
