Not sure if you got an answer yet, but I'm pretty sure they also used cadaver dogs. It's somewhere in threads 10-15, I think, that it was discussed a few times and I think there's a few articles back there. But I'm almost 100% sure they did use cadaver dogs.

You can do a basic search for Mollie Tibbetts cadaver dogs and get a result. I’m just to tired to do it for you this evening. Had company for 7 days and I’m beat. They go home tomorrow. Love them to death but exhausted.

Monarrez and Rivera met in 2013 and had a daughter around 2014.

Monarrez and Rivera lived together for about a year before they separated, New York Times reported.

Officials said that Monarrez connected Rivera with the job at Yarrabee Farms, where he worked before his being arrest.

I definitely avoid the news, especially the local news. It's all bad all the time where I live, and the national news seems to be on a loop. cute, cuddly animals is the way to go, but why watch them when you can go to the pet store and pet them, too. I've started enjoying just watching the zoo animals play. Normally, they don't let me pet animals there, but I went to a different zoo last weekend and they let me pet a Wallaby. It's great since my cats died. I can enjoy other people's animals without having the pleasure of cleaning up after them.
I do agree that people were just as wicked before, only now we're more aware of it.
WILL NOT LIVE WITHOUT MY DOGS!!!
in fact I was interrupted twice for hugs. And I have one that nearly suffocated me with his hugs. After a lifetime being owned by awesome dogs, he’s the only one that gives bear hugs!

MY DOGS LOVE ME MORE THAN 80% of my humans.

They must be able to at least find his school records! Any type of disciplinary action would be in his file.

In Mexico????? I think they chatted with people he knew. It doesn’t say anything about school contact that I recall. My thoughts are that they certainly will.

How the Suspect in Mollie Tibbetts’s Death Built a Life in an Iowa Farm Town

There is some sort of disconnect here...
One article states that CR's family obtained new counsel for their son, and is paying for this.

Another article makes his family out to be simple folk, who milk cows and make around $10 a day...

Simple folk who milk cows, don't generally have the funds or even knowledge to obtain a private attorney, and in this case, two! Interesting.

CR's dad in Mexico is reported by the Daily Mail to ride a donkey to work and make $10/day. CR has family in Iowa that were here before him, at least an uncle who he came to be with per MSM. Please do not underestimate the ability of immigrants, of all kinds, to live frugally, and save their money. We don't know for sure if CR has more than one uncle here in the US, or what they may be worth. Or who might be able to front them money with just a phone call. You just never know.

AND, even if anyone's income is illegal, the IRS and Attorneys don't care. The IRS really does not care at all how you made it as long as you report all income and pay your taxes in a timely manner. The attorney dosen't want to know and will ask you not to tell him.

Only because you never got an answer to this yet, the section in question is found in the Etiquette and Information section of the Rules, and is as follows:

EXIT POSTS - "I AM LEAVING WS"

It is the policy of WS not to allow posts or threads intended to announce that one is "leaving the site" for any reason. Posts of this nature will result in one or both of the following actions: 1) The post will be removed from general view. 2) Your membership will be suspended without notice.

I guess it is a call best made by a mod if in doubt, but I think we all agree that the SITE is WS, and this thread, or any thread, is just a part of the site. I do know that the poster in question who bade us farewell here has been active in another thread most of the afternoon, so he has not left the site, nor did I interpret what he said as that he was leaving WS, so much as just leaving this thread. JMO

Just nice to say a pleasant see you later.

Exactly how many cups of coffee have you had?!

Wow Betsy, and I like you.:):) I thought you would blame IT etc
It wasn't me and my coffees, it was the laptop, just playing up.
There were 4 of the same post: one hid behind others, afraid I would see it, and delete it: it managed to be posted.
So they're pretty smart.

The house is in IM’s name

  • Cristhian Rivera was living in a 30ft trailer on a secluded Iowa farm less than four miles from where he allegedly abducted Mollie Tibbetts
  • The 24-year-old accused killer was living there with a group of migrants who worked for Yarrabee Farms

    • Public records also link Rivera's girlfriend and mother of his child, Iris Monarrez to the property
Public records also link Rivera's girlfriend Iris Monarrez to the $100,000 house which sits on 39 acres of farmland and is a six-minute drive from the spot along 385th Avenue where Rivera allegedly dragged Mollie into his car.

Thanks. So I wonder how they didn't speak for three years

This. If someone's income is illegal, they're probably not reporting it to the IRS. But, the money is still green and plausible deniability is always nice.

That’s the part that puzzles me, his relatives could have put in in school here if he was 16, at least to socialize him and maybe go on to college

I think he was sent off to work and send money back

I’m beginning to think that he and his GF could have possibly still lived together, his co-worked said she left the house the morning he was arrested.

If he was eligible to attend school, then he should have. He would have the ability to send a lot more money home with an education, and he wouldn't be working 7 days a week.

I've read that too - that she moved out after he was arrested. Maybe they were together still, but not officially together.

Is that what happened? The cadaver dogs led them to the pig farm? That would explain alot of things!

NO. I was answering a post which noted that cadaver dogs , IN GENERAL, will hit on pig remains as a false positive for humans who I mentioned taste like pork when cooked!

We know that dogs of some kind were used in the area of the pig farm, but not what kind and not exactly where. As far as we know, no dogs have lead anyone, anywhere except to dinner.

As a side note, a completely non-related PD has a drug sniffing Chihuahua K-9 officer. They like her because she can fit in small, tight spaces, and walk under cars and trucks to check for contraband.

I think they definitely had to verbalize if he was spending time with their kid. Maybe they just weren't "speaking" in the slang sense.

BBM...Not sure where you may have read that, but if you did, it was just someone voicing an opinion, as LE has made no statement about knowing for certain what time she began her run, or giving specific time of abduction, if they even know. Times have been given for what they assume were certain events, but we are left to deduce what those events may have been and when. And my guess is that when she was placed in the car, she may or may not have been unconscious, but was probably at the very least, injured and perhaps restrained. It has not been reported, but I wonder if rope, zip ties, or any such items were found with her remains. JMO

I keep thinking, he stabbed her, several times at initial contact.
Then places her into the car, to hide the body in the cornfields, and perhaps rapes her, away from any traffic.
All my own thoughts.

What a smart sweetie pie.:):)
We have a poster who owns Chihuahuas and sends us great videos of them.
Hope she reads this.

Yes, that's the one! Still seems like they may have still spent time together, I would think, in the past few years. She seems pretty loyal to him. I don't buy that she took the baby to court so she could see him, I think it was more to be supportive, imo.

Who knows, I can’t imagine why the co-workers would say it if not true

No, it wasn’t for the baby

I think she still has feelings for him, IMO

I wonder why Robbery is called a violent crime.o_Oo_Oo_O
I've had items stolen from my property the culprit damaging the door to enter, other items disappearing from back yard, my credit cards stolen from my bag etc, and never thought their classification would be violent.
