CR is not likely to have the kind of health records you are thinking if. While he could have health insurance through his employer, under his alias, he is a young healthy Male. Just the same kind as US citizens who ask why do they have to pay for Obamacare. As a group, they don't usually get sick and can get by without regular visits to the doctor. Also. If you are severely injured and /or critically ill, under Federal law any US hospital that accepts Federal reimbursement must accept you for treatment, no matter your ability to pay or your immigration status, and stabilize you and treat you. Also if you are in active labor.

Google EMTALA law of 1986.
I agree it is unlikely they provide employees any health insurance. CR is young and healthy and if he got hurt he could go to any E.R. If you aren't stable the hospital has to admit you AND eat the cost. Having to treat illegal immigrants is why some hospitals have closed their ER's or have shut down altogether. They simply can't afford it.

I found this part amusing

"Absent unusual circumstances, it would be difficult to show they knew any more than what they were told," Teig said, adding that it would be "pretty racist" to assume a John Budd could not be Hispanic.

I posted a question before see this.

Wow

I understand about sleuthing anyone that is not a POI but my question is how does that make them victims?

They are victims per WS rules.

“Tibbetts' father, Rob Tibbetts, has urged the public not to bring his daughter's death into the divisive racial debate over immigration.

"The person who is accused of taking Mollie's life is no more a reflection of the Hispanic community as white supremacists are of all white people," he wrote in an opinion piece for the Des Moines Register.“

Seems like everybody just turned their heads at everything.
Well, his first lawyer did say he was an "All-American Boy."... Maybe he was fooled too ?

If I was working there I guess I would wonder why his name wasn't Juan since he was speaking Spanish fluently rather than English.

Me, too. I have to admit it was a pretty slick deal to give such a name to a guy who only spoke Spanish, in view of all the accusations of racism. I"m pretty sure his buddies knew he wasn't John Budd.

I laughed so hard my neighbors heard and want to know what's so funny.

Good point! That makes perfect sense.

Wouldn't his uncle who worked there know he wasn't John Budd?

Wouldn't it be the name assigned to the SS# he used?

I would think so and wonder if the person is deceased? It is the SS card that they need because they have been making licenses fake forever. The SS number is in the system and I truly do not know how so many go undetected. There must be other ways too but fake ID's is not something I know much about except that they are out there.

Yep, he couldn't pick and choose a name. It's down to whatever ID was available to purchase.

I wonder if he used John Budd at the other dairy farm(s) he worked at? I would almost guess he did if he needed references, but who knows.
