The employer is supposed to VERIFY every employee's immigration status. Form I-9 is required.
They are required to verify an employee's eligibility for employment. If that employee has a SS# and a license that is all that is required. Every person has to fill out and I-9 form as proof of eligibility. If the documentation appears valid, that's the verification. With a valid license and SS card, how would an employer know someone was an illegal immigrant?

Well, I can't find any previous criminal activity under the alias, anyone else?

There is 8,904 birth records for the name John Budd in Ancestry. There may be several people walking around with that name. If anyone knows dob, I will research further.

6/11/1994 is his birthday on arrest warrant

I found a JB who was 26 when he passed away in 2016

When documents are fraudulent they take on the person’s name, Birthday, etc

His birthday won’t match up to the fake documents

Because SS numbers are applied for; I wonder how easy it would be to send in fraudulent details in order to gain a SS number.
I think they steal them from live people and dead, they don’t actually apply for one, fake ones are drafted

No but I did find a couple of deceased John Budd's from Iowa.

So.... John Budd. Sounds like a character right out of a Steinbeck novel!

He would not only know, but may have helped him to get the paperwork, if anything at least financially. Jmo

CR used an out-of-state ID, not a driver's license. If the employer had used e-Verify, it is likely it would have been flagged if the birth date didn't match federal data bases. The employer is required to verify the information on the I-9 through either the e-Verify or SS databases. I expect the state of Iowa might change it to just e-Verify.

They all help each other and have many things in place.

We don't know if his birthday matches the real John Budd. If it doesn't, e-Verify would have flagged it.

Already stated in MSM is that CR's Dairy Farm employer did not use e-verify, but did use the older phone in system. It was first reported that the Dairy Farm used e-verify, but that was later corrected.

Yes I know, all too well having had mine stolen.

I just don’t want to go against TOS

It’s a huge market for fake documents

His birthday is most likely going to match the stolen identity person birthday

What the employer says now may not be what the employer did.

It appears his employer did the bare minimum to verify him and turned a blind eye to the obvious

How would the stolen identity person's birthday be known?

There is no way to know if he even did the minimum. e-Verify at least requires an employer number to be entered.
