well, I suppose there could have been a 3rd location we aren't aware of that would have allowed for less mess in the car and on CRs body before the final transport.

JMO

Per the warrant

Her dragged her to “a secluded location in A cornfield”

He carried her into the cornfield, placed her face up and covered her

I’m Thinking there are two spots

When CR chose this story about blocking his memories, than I wonder why he didn't just say he came out of his blackout and found her laying in the cornfield at his feet, so he covered her with corn leaves. Why open himself up to being aware of everything that took place in the cornfield if he had murdered her there? It doesn't make sense to me. JMO

Maybe he was being coached by his pals in that 5 weeks he was running free and when he DID actually get caught he mumbo jumboed everything all together and forgot what to say. Except the part about forgetting,,,,that he remembered.

I don't know there might be some truth there, after all we know very very little about CR. Look at LE, that had to find out who he really was.
Its obvious to me that he is trying very hard to look " cool" in his FB pictures. Underneath he is probably very insecure, not that he would ever admit it, imo I think he is quite full of himself. I have still to see one of him smiling! Have not seen one yet.

I wonder if he doesn't smile in the photos because of unsightly or missing teeth, possibly ?

Hope you don’t mind me butting in on one of the questing

JMO

I think Otto is questioning if her body just received the “stab wounds” or if both body and clothes have the cut marks.

If not, it would indicate she was not wearing clothes when she was killed

No not at all; it's valid; but Otto stated a 'theory'; if I've understood his 'theory' and post correctly; I think he's a bit muddled regards when CR said he 'blocked out his memory. He's asked me a question; I'm trying to respond; he's then introducing further questions.

What kind of leap he expects people to believe

Ear buds = someone in the trunk

So he must have thrown her in the trunk before he blocked out?

It's true. That could mean he dragged her alive along the edge of the cornfield, killed her there, then carried her the 20 meters into the cornfield to dump her. Or it could mean he dragged her dead along the edge of the cornfield, then carried her the 20 meters into the cornfield to dump her. It isn't clear. But again, why not wake from his blackout AFTER the dragging part if he had killed her there. It very well could be an oversight on his part, but it bugs me.

I'm pretty sure he thought he had gotten away with it. He was probably convinced of that when the pig farm was being searched and WC was getting all the attention, then the statements about her being alive... I think he may have had a general excuse in the back of his mind in case he got caught, which included the easiest excuse ( I don't remember) which has been used many times before by other killers. That and blaming the victim were probably the extent of his explanation should he get caught. He didn't have to put much thought into that at all. Easily done all by his little self. There is no evidence that others even knew about what he did. Imo

Good catch!

The questions are meant to get people thinking, imo., the rest is based on the theory many have that he attacked her at the first sight in order to subdue her and put her in the trunk, then transported her to the cornfield where he continued the crime. He is saying he thinks the evidence in the trunk will show whether or not she was killed at the location of the body or before. He thinks the former, is the way I read it. And yes, I believe his black out story is a lie. We can't trust his story so trying to figure out how it fits in is just useless, imo. It just confuses things, making it difficult to put the pieces together, which was probably the intention in the first place. His story of not remembering what happened is everything that LE does not know. The rest of the details he gave is everything he knows they do know, or can prove. How convenient.

They are interesting questions; I've got a couple of hundred questions; might have to wait on those.

Either way, if the multiple sharp force trauma occurred anywhere besides her final resting spot, there would have been an obvious bloody mess on CR requiring him to clean up somewhere or risk being noticed. Maybe he rinsed off in the creek. I think forensics will be able to tell if she was bleeding profusely from multiple spots while in the trunk.

If you forget about the blackout story, which we dont know is even true, its much easier to put the pieces together. Imo he may have killed her in that isolated dirt road to the cornfield, then carried her body into the cornfield to hide it. Or he just carried her when she was knocked out and then viciously attacked her with whatever sharp instrument he had. The rain would have washed the blood away if he killed her in the road, but imo it happened either there or further in.

Right, I get exactly what you are saying

I think LE left a huge chunk out and that’s why it’s not making sense to us

good point. I was considering that the stabbing could have taken place in the cornfield. MT is confronted by CR. MT is knocked out (head wound). MT is taken to the cornfield used, abused, and killed with knife. It would be a lot cleaner if it happened this way and less chance of witnesses with everything essentially being done in the corn. The idea that she was butchered on the street would fit with his "block out" statement, but unless he carefully planned everything by covering up in plastic and covering his trunk in plastic, there would be a big mess on his body and in/on the car he would need to explain.

Hopefully forensics will either back up CR's story or blow it apart; the only thing against forensics is the 5 weeks and the elements.

May as well throw them out there! Gives us something to think about.

I always get blamed for not smiling. I'm just a serious person. If I'm smiling at work, I'm mentally up to no good or amused. I always smile in photos, though.

I've wondered that, as well, but if he had described anything about the murder itself, IMO some of that would have been included on the homicide arrest affidavit.

Some people smikle all the time, some people smile a little and some people never smile. Human nature.
