Hopefully forensics will either back up his story or blow it apart; the only thing against forensics is the 5 weeks and the elements.
It may be difficult to prove SA, but after the extensive discussions there have been in that area about decomposition and DNA, I am hoping they will find the evidence, if there is any. It seems to be possible. They have a rough idea of the amount of sharp force injuries but imo. There could be several that occurred that will never be known since they didn't cut the bone. Maybe the clothes will reveal something, but if they were removed they may never know.

Some people smikle all the time, some people smile a little and some people never smile. Human nature.
From all the Facebook pictures I've looked at, usually people post at least one picture of themselves smiling. Look at all Mollies pictures! She was obviously a very happy person. Rivera doesn't strike me as very happy. In fact, I haven't seen much emotion at all. In court he appeared stonefaced to me.jmo

Some people are just not smilers. Look at Bill Belichick??? The guy never smiles.
True but I was referring to photos. The whole reason people tell you to say "cheese" , or whatever it is these days, is to at least make it look like you are smiling. I haven't had much to smile about these days, but if someone took my picture I feel almost obligated to smile. Even when I got my drivers licence the guy told me to smile!

No I understand but some people are just not smilers pictures or not.
And as far as Facebook which I do not have nor want I have looked at peoples pages through my daughters Facebook.
Everyone is usually smiling because they want you to think they have the best life possible when in fact many do not. So I do not hold much to the fact that he was not smiling in any of them.
Some states now do not want you to smile for your drivers license, someone told me that but I have nothing to back it up.

Seems like he wanted to look like he was a BillyBad^ss. I will never understand why people think it's a cool look....
Which, the red skinny jeans or the pink shirt and hat?

I was told I could smile in my drivers license photo, but I could not show teeth. In my passport photo, I was told not to smile at all. Those are the only two photos I have where I am not smiling. Usually photos where I am not smiling get deleted, but I look better in my smiling ones and those are the ones I want people to see. I don't think CR has had a reason to smile once he was arrested, and before that, maybe the opposite was true for him. Maybe he didn't like the way he looked when he smiled. It's also possible that he was never truly happy, except for when he first met IM, when it was reported that that was the best day of his life.

Wow, I never heard of the not showing your teeth part. I think the only reason he told me to smile is because I wasn't to begin with. And yes, it is possible that River had many skeletons in the closet.... we will probably never know.

Per the warrant

Her dragged her to “a secluded location in A cornfield”

He carried her into the cornfield, placed her face up and covered her

I’m Thinking there are two spots

http://media.graytvinc.com/documents/082118+DCI+Arrest.pdf
I know I've mentioned this several times but I still believe it's possible that he assaulted and killed her right in that dirt road that goes into the cornfield. Maybe in front of where he pulled in the car. Then dragged, carried her into the cornfield. I guess there are three potential murder scenes; The area where she was abducted, the dirt road and cornfield where the body was found, and I think someone suggested an unknown location. Or the car itself. I guess that's more than three. imo

I agree. I have no doubt that the majority of people who commit violent sexual crimes against women are probably watchers of 🤬🤬🤬🤬, but so is a large segment of the population in general, both male and female, and they do not go out and commit crimes. Likewise, a very large percentage of young males play video games regularly, and yes, many of those are violent games, but again, they don't go out and commit murder. I liken it to the argument that marijuana use leads to harder drugs. In all likelihood, most hard drug users started with or continue to smoke weed, but look at the large number of potheads that never try anything harder. I think pointing to 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or video games is a cop out to transfer blame to something other than the killer. "The 🤬🤬🤬🤬 made him do it" or "Violent video games made him do it" remind me of Flip Wilson as Geraldine, saying "The devil made me do it". No addiction is healthy, but we do not even have any indication that CR had such an addiction. I think he is to blame for this murder, not 🤬🤬🤬🤬, and not GTA or any other video game. JMO

I agree with you. Proximity does not denote causality. Just because I was standing next to the burning building when the Fire Department arrived, does not mean that I torched it. This same argument could be made for how lethal Aspirin is, based on how many deceased cardiac patients were taking it at the time of their death.

The motivation for a killer's crimes are many times multifactoral, and a reason for their actions require more than broad pat answers.

On line violent 🤬🤬🤬🤬, the acclimation to violence that could come from repetitive immersive game play and drugs are all factors that COULD be in play, but are not necessarily the only or even a contributing reason.

I know what you mean. That's part of the reason I do not have FB. It seems like a big competition to show who has the best life. At least from what I have seen. I don't think we can read too much into the fact that he doesn't smile in his pictures. I think it may be a conscious effort to look a certain way. Imo. I just am very curious to see what he looks like with a big grin on his face. Someone said there were pictures of him smiling but I haven't seen any.

Not showing the teeth is a biometric, computer facial recognition system thing.

Grimacing on the source image makes it harder for the software to do its job. Big Brother IS watching

As a matter of fact I think its better in some cases that people watch 🤬🤬🤬🤬 than act out their violent fantasies in real life. Jmo

Very interesting. Although I'm not sure I was grimacing, but for some reason he asked me to smile. I knew there had to be some reason for it. In NY it always seemed like they didn't want you to smile, although I always did. They tell you to look down at the line and then when you look up they snap the picture.

Humor me, I like to think out loud.

The timeframe and crime are still bugging me. So I’m going over the events of that day. Guess you could call if fanfic too.

So CR gets off work. He’s sweaty and smelly from working all day. He takes a shower because (IMO) he’s young and vain and wants to always look good for the ladies when he goes into town. So after getting primped and ready he drives into town. What time is this? Not sure. But say he gets into town around 5pm (based on a timeframe used by LE early on as time of interest—5-10pm.)

Scanario 1) Ok. What does he do? Get dinner? Go to his uncles house? Visit friends? Who knows. Maybe someone made him mad, maybe some girls rejected him?

Scenario 2)Otherwise timeframe wise, if he arrives in town closer to the incident starting at 7:45, that to me means he came specifically for mollie. And the $50 million dollar question then is why?

IMO

Perhaps he had primped and postured to have a sexual encounter and he’d got no for an answer. Then he had been stalking Mollie for weeks glanced at his watch and decided to find her.

Most likely Rivera knew her route and he was wondvup and it’s all he could think about. And he decided she was going to go along. Consent or not.

I believe time will reveal this is far from his first violent act and like Ted Bundy he disguised it extremely well.

I didn't think 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was necessarily violent, though, except for maybe bondage. I've never ventured into the back room at family video, though. I don't really want to see it. The baboons are enough for me.

good point. I was considering that the stabbing could have taken place in the cornfield. MT is confronted by CR. MT is knocked out (head wound). MT is taken to the cornfield used, abused, and killed with knife. It would be a lot cleaner if it happened this way and less chance of witnesses with everything essentially being done in the corn. The idea that she was butchered on the street would fit with his "block out" statement, but unless he carefully planned everything by covering up in plastic and covering his trunk in plastic, there would be a big mess on his body and in/on the car he would need to explain.

Per up thread farm boy/girl post, there is not much room to do anything between the corn rows; except for a slim muscular conditioned farm worker carrying a body over his shoulder to push between the corn rows, to dump the body.

The carry part is per the arrest warrant.

I wonder if he doesn't smile in the photos because of unsightly or missing teeth, possibly ?
That is very possible. Or he feels self conscious in some way. I noticed in a video someone posted of him in court when he answered a question his mouth moved to one side. It's hard to explain but it just looked like something is going on with the way his mouth goes when he speaks. It's not really important, just something I noticed.
