I didn't think porn was necessarily violent, though, except for maybe bondage. I've never ventured into the back room at family video, though. I don't really want to see it. The baboons are enough for me.

I think the poster was referring to violent porn, which apparently there is alot of on line. And, wow... they still have video stores? And with a back room? Haven't seen that in a long time, but I remember that mysterious curtain from when I was a kid.

There are some women who, for whatever reason, go for "Bad Boys", like the appeal for the movie star James Dean back in his day. He died in an unfortunate auto accident while living out his "bad boy" image in real life.

I have had discussions about this observed behavior with women of all ages, and they could not articulate a reason why. Even those with sociopathic children and a devastated life as a result of their youthful romance and life with a sociopathic "Bad Boy".

I have had discussions about this observed behavior with women of all ages, and they could not articulate a reason why. Even those with sociopathic children and a devastated life as a result of their youthful romance and life with a sociopathic "Bad Boy".

I was told I could smile in my drivers license photo, but I could not show teeth. In my passport photo, I was told not to smile at all. Those are the only two photos I have where I am not smiling. Usually photos where I am not smiling get deleted, but I look better in my smiling ones and those are the ones I want people to see. I don't think CR has had a reason to smile once he was arrested, and before that, maybe the opposite was true for him. Maybe he didn't like the way he looked when he smiled. It's also possible that he was never truly happy, except for when he first met IM, when it was reported that that was the best day of his life.

I don't think Rivera had any reason to smile once he was arrested. But I would think he would show at least a little emotion in court. Guilt, remorse, maybe even fear or anger, but I didnt see anything. Just... nothingness. No emotion at all. He just looked like he was concentrating on what the translater was saying.

No I understand but some people are just not smilers pictures or not.
And as far as Facebook which I do not have nor want I have looked at peoples pages through my daughters Facebook.
Everyone is usually smiling because they want you to think they have the best life possible when in fact many do not. So I do not hold much to the fact that he was not smiling in any of them.
Some states now do not want you to smile for your drivers license, someone told me that but I have nothing to back it up.

In Iowa, we are not allowed to smile for our driver’s license picture. I had mine renewed recently and they even had a sign right next to the camera at the DMV that we were not allowed to smile for the picture and if we did, they would re-take it.

well, I suppose there could have been a 3rd location we aren't aware of that would have allowed for less mess in the car and on CRs body before the final transport.

Like the currently not in use "hog farm" (a hog finishing facility that had suffered a fire casualty) that LE searched because of an electronic "ping"?

Ah, yes. Went through a phase myself. I think it's part of the "Florence Nightingale" idea that one can " save" or at least change her "bad boy." Doesn't work. Except maybe in the movies.

That's funny. In PA, he not only urged me to smile but told me to look at the pictures and choose which one I liked best. A whole world of difference from NY.

That is very possible. Or he feels self conscious in some way. I noticed in a video someone posted of him in court when he answered a question his mouth moved to one side. It's hard to explain but it just looked like something is going on with the way his mouth goes when he speaks. It's not really important, just something I noticed.

I think he knows exactly why he did what he did and is just disappointed he got caught. If anything, that's how he felt when in the courtroom. I'm sure he thought of all those other things during the questionong. Imo. He knew they had him, he led them to the body, and he knows it's all over for him. Jmo

I just renewed my license (got the Real ID) and I asked, they told me I could smile or not smile so gave an option. Seems it goes by state.

After his alleged 'blocked memory', he found earbuds; then found body in boot; he then took the body to the cornfield; and hid the body with stalks. Any assault and the fatal attack took place elsewhere.

We know the start and end location of the incident, and the time range in terms of start and finish times of incident. According to the suspect, when she arrived at the end location she had a head injury (this can be verified with blood evidence in the trunk).

What we know:

• incident timeline: 7:45PM t0 8:28PM
• incident locations: 1900 blk 385 ave, and just off Highway 21 on 460th Ave
• 69% abduction murder victims are deceased in less than 1 hour
• incident time for Mollie: 43 minutes
• travel time between locations: 15-18 minutes
• suspect's time to assault Mollie excluding travel time: 25 minutes

Given the information that we know, the timeline does not allow for a third location, and indeed we know that police are not searching a third location. We do know that the suspect's home was searched, but that does not mean that investigators believe that Mollie was at the dairy farm. According to the information that has been released by police, there are two locations: 385 Ave, and 460 Ave.

Why, without any related facts from police, would we introduce a third location to the timeline where Mollie allegedly received sharp object injuries?

According to the suspect the only injury Mollie suffered at the time he arrived just off Highway 21 on 460th Ave is a head injury. Granted he is most likely lying in much of his statement, but blood evidence should easily identify Mollie's injuries when she was in the trunk.

He may have memory failure between abduction and body location, but according to the suspect, she had one injury at the time his memory recovered. She was found with multiple sharp object injuries, so those must have occurred after his memory recovered.

OR he dragged her already dead body, holding her under the shoulders, from the car to the edge of the corn rows, and then hoisted her limp body over his shoulder so that his slim lower torso could "slip" between the rows, with his shoulders and her body bulk only having to push aside the thinner upper corn stalks ("knee high by the 4th of july", and this was only 2 weeks of corn growth later). This rather than fighting to drag a body through the much thicker base of the corn rows.

Of course, any thing could have happened in the open area between the car and the corn rows, including CR stabbing the body multiple times, in frustration because he escalated too fast, at the time of the abduction, and killed her then.

I still think that, per the warrant, that she was dead by 20:28, at or near the 1900 385th location and/or died enroute to the dump site.

But anything is possible, including an intermediate stop at the "Hog Farm (searched by LE) on the way to the corn field body dump site.

When CR chose this story about blocking his memories, than I wonder why he didn't just say he came out of his blackout and found her laying in the cornfield at his feet, so he covered her with corn leaves. Why open himself up to being aware of everything that took place in the cornfield if he had murdered her there? It doesn't make sense to me. JMO

He may well have tried to make that claim, but after several hours of questioning perhaps he messed up, contradicted himself, and had to revise his statement.
