That's what is sounds like. He accosted her, and either blocked the route home (to her mom's house), or she carried on running out of Brooklyn unaware that he was not giving up.

"Rivera admitted to making contact with a female running in Brooklyn and that he pursued her in his vehicle in an area east of Brooklyn, Poweshiek County, Iowa. "

http://media.graytvinc.com/documents/082118+DCI+Arrest.pdf

If taken literally, it almost sounds like Rivera made contact with Mollie in Brooklyn, perhaps at the Boundary/Middle Str. location. Then he pursued her in his car as she ran along 385 Ave.

Regarding: she made him mad and thus the "block" "memory" problem, did he get mad after he made contact, and then he pursued her with his car? When did she allegedly threaten to call police: at the time that he made contact, or when he was pursuing her in his car? He had enough socialization in Iowa to know that pursuing a woman with a car is going to lead to calling police. He can't very well claim that he didn't expect that.

If she made him mad when he made contact in Brooklyn, did he not have enough time to come to his wits before he pursued he in his car?

During the press conference, Rahn also offered a bit of additional information beyond what’s written in the affidavit.

“...He actually tells us that he ran alongside of her or behind her," said Rick Rahn, special agent in charge at the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation during a news conference on Tuesday. "And then, at one point, he tells us that Mollie grabbed ahold of her phone and said, 'You need to leave me alone. I'm going to call the police.' And then, she took off running and he, in turn, chased her down."...”

Just a wild guess, but something must have happened at that time as well. That's 2 months before Mollie's abduction and murder.

I wonder why he thought he was evil at that time - very curious.
It would help to have the original Spanish.
It looked to me that he was saying the other one he was talking to was evil. Then, I think he is saying, "Well, in so many words you said I looked horrible" "You hurt my feelings" (but not too much, because he says "ha ha". ) Then, the other person must of said something like "later", because it looks like CR is saying " haha he runs away coward". I don't see anything strange here.

Truthfully, the first time I read that exchange it sounded like two guys giving each other a bad time. Pre unfriending

Good morning! Mollie's thread is open for posting. Please remember to stay on topic. Remember that people from all over the world come to read here about updates, for Mollie's case, not to read anecdotes from members about their lives or other miscellaneous topics.

I would sure like to see proof that he has nothing more than a grade 5 or 6 education. What did he do with his days from age 10 - 16? Ride a donkey with his father to earn $10 a day? Play soccer? Run wild on the streets?

"Since this is a class A felony for a homicide, I want it to be on the record so there’s no confusion whatsoever," Frese told the paper. "Because his education is about a fifth- or sixth-grade education in the country of Mexico."

So on the FB referenced above, CR is claiming he had both high school and college education but his lawyers say it was grade five or six. He used what is possibly his real name on SM but his employers knew him by a fraudent identity as he was in the country illegally. It’s still unknown whether he was born in 1994 or 1997.

Eveything about his life centres on deception and deceit. As a result the line between reality and his self-created fiction had to have become blurred.

Based on that, my theory regarding motive is CR convinced himself Mollie was interested in a relationship with him. When she rebuked him “leave me alone” he flew into a violent rage because in his mind, she had no right not to follow the deluded script he’d already created. Sometimes referred to as the Fatal Attraction Syndrome. JMO

"I can't really speak to you about the motive," Rahn said. "I can just tell you it seems that he followed her and seemed to be drawn to her on that particular day and for whatever reason he chose to abduct her."

Curious how a person with a 5th-6th grade level of schooling could find his way here from Mexico with a cousin, get fake ID’s, work on a farm for years, drive a car illegally, father a child and commit murder!

I’m going to wait and see. While I believe there is an abundance of information we do not have, nothing would surprise me at this point.

I feel law enforcement will uncover everything about him. And I believe he has a criminal past. The chances he began his criminal career by abducting and murdering Mollie Tibbets is small. It would not surprise me if he is a current member or was becoming a member of a gang.

Who knows but there’s a lot of no substance to him as it stands now.

Lots of people puff up their credentials on FB, like saying they went to a university just Bc they cheer on the football team. But CR background does seem murky

Honestly I do not know if we will ever know the real truth behind CR.
What we DO know is that he killed a young enterprising young American woman with her whole life ahead of her and he is an illegal citizen. THAT we know for sure.
