Doing good Dalton...don’t let this nasty line of questioning get you upset...that’s Frese’s goal

I bet the prosecution prepared him for this! It seemed he was a little unprepared last week for what this type of questioning would be like.

He is supposed to remember every conversation via text and snapchat from the previous 3 years of their relationship? Kids snap like 100 times a day.. there could be offhand comments made every single day and he is supposed to recall all of that? That does not mean he harmed Mollie.

Really makes ya think that if someone ever happened to someone you love and you had any type of conversations with them that sound bad or if you ever had fights and then something like this happens you can be racked over the coals even though NONE of your DNA or fingerprints were located in a vehicle that didn't even belong to you nor did any evidence come forth that put you in the same same town or even any closer than 2 hours away when that person went missing. I guess we better pray we all react exactly right, call 100 times, text the right things and never have an argument with anyone in case they go missing and we are questioned about how suspicious that all looks.

Frese asks about an April 8, 2018 conversation about Mollie asking about the woman screenshotting a Snapchat. "You told Mollie ____ was crazy, correct?" "I don't know." (reading more of the transcript of this convo)

Frese: "You told Mollie that she added you and therefore you added her back...you were communicating with her, right?" "From the context of that message, sounds like she was communicating w/me."

Frese says April 9th, Mollie and this other woman talked.

Boy is this spot on! And having all this BS dragged out in the public eye with the brutality of social media- ugh. Horrible.

Sadly, I can tell you that time and memory goes out the window when you go through an unexpected trauma and death of a loved one. It becomes just a blurr that you really never want to relive.

"You didn't just come clean to Mollie and say 'I've been talking to _____,' did you?" Dalton says he probably did not.

We're doing a lot of: Defense: Do you remember this specific thing? Dalton: I don't recall Defense: Here are the records.

So some of this is confusing to me. Wonder how it is for jurors.

Now Frese's questioning is going back to interview with DCI Agent Matt George and whether he recalls it. This is the one where he admitted to past infidelity after withholding it. @KCCINews #BahenaRiveraTrial

the jury probably feels their time is being wasted on all this BS.

  • #809
Did the defense just ask if he "blacked out"

  • #810
Ditto. I think he seems uncomfortable, perhaps knowing that what he is doing do defend evil is itself evil. (This is just my reaction to Freese's nervous, breathy behaviour and odd questions--and trying to smear the boyfriend's character.)

Maybe he's seeing negative body reactions from the jury. Wish I could see their reactions to questions.

I’m have just been following along and listening on court TV but today I have to comment, I am getting so annoyed at the facial expressions and looks between the Freese's when Dalton answers questions as if they "got him". They really have a lot of animosity towards this kid. If I was a juror it would pizz me off. I understand they have a job to do but they are not doing themselves or their client any favors by acting like this. Are they just going to show him every snap, text conversation he has ever had and act like he is surely the killer since he cannot remember conversations??

I don't know if it is intentional on DJ's part, but he is doing a good job interupting Frese's flow. Frese gets going on a rant, and DJ, by continually saying he doesn't recall and having to stop and read the records, is slowing Frese down. IMO
ETA: It also gives DJ a chance to slow down and interupt any feelings of irritation he may be having.

Frese now asking about Dalton's tendency toward anger, fighting. "Whoever did this to Mollie, we can agree it was very violent?"

"At any point before Mollie disappeared, did you ever tell her you realized you were clinically insane?" Objection from State overruled. "I don't remember."

Still trying to imply that he did this to Molly

  • #815
Oh gawd..................

  • #816
OMG---Dalton said he didnt remember a past conversation with Mollie and the defense said 'Did you black out?'

And now they are going after his 'anger'....saying he told Molly he was legally insane...

Could they harass DJ anymore than what they’ve done? Is he supposed to be psychic and know what she ate for breakfast on a random Wednesday a year and a half ago.

State will save it.

This is the most offensive thing I have ever seen. This young man has done absolutely nothing wrong yet he has to put up with this crap. All while his girlfriend’s killer has daisies and little bunnies cast his way. This is so wrong. There is no excuse for this.
