"The man that's sitting on the chair took my hand and told me that I was lying, I was lying."

CBR says the other man said something in English that he doesn't know the word for, but was yelling.

Brown: "Do you agree you were the only one who could take police to the body of Mollie Tibbetts?" Yes.

Why in God's name didn't the prosecution ask what she was wearing when he carried her into the cornfield?????

  • #363
Didn’t like the cross. They missed a lot in my opinion. Not hard hitting enough.

  • #364
Another witness. I figured they would be done after CBR.

Agree, should have made more points about the absurdity of his story. Mollie deserves better.

Ron Peska’s daughter...she called in tips!

Poor girl needs therapy.

That's what closing arguments are for. They will have a great close, I predict.

Prosecution will tie this up nicely in closing. IMO

How many other people are they going to almost-accuse of having done what their client originally confessed to?

A good point made by a former journalist: He just testified about this horrific incident with almost ZERO emotion.

Why would they take his phone and his keys when they pull up to the cornfield, but then leave them in the trunk of the car minutes later? Why wouldnt they take the items with them, effectively stranding him with her body?

And if they didn't take them until they were at the cornfield, why didn't he mention they opened the trunk again before they ran off? How did they magically get in the trunk?

Defense calls Jamie Slife.

A woman is on the stand now who called in to the tip line. She is not an expert, we were not introduced to her CV.

Her father is Ron Peksa.

"You had concerns that your father lived in the Poweshiek County area," Jennifer Frese asks. Slife says yes, says she called multiple times, including when "it got closer to his area."
1:34 PM · May 26, 2021·Twitter Web App

"It just kept eating at me that I needed to call," Slife says. Called three times.
1:35 PM · May 26, 2021·Twitter Web App

Frese asks why she called. Slife begins to say "my dad sexually abused..." but Scott Brown objects. Sidebar now.

What the heck?

  • #373
Did the prosecutor not know that this is what this witness would testify to? Feel sorry for this poor girl who is obviously upset.

  • #374

Exactly! Is the defense saying they don't believe the masked bandit story??? They think it's Ron Peska??

  • #375
What? This has nothing to do with this

  • #376
Why in God's name didn't the prosecution ask what she was wearing when he carried her into the cornfield?????
It was asked I believe. He(CBR) stated she was dressed but for one shoe.

  • #377
This poor woman. The defense should be ashamed of themselves for parading this victim around like this.

  • #378
So 5 more minutes of 'look over there, not at my client who confessed!'?

  • #379
For the accused (Mr. Pexa and others) with no basis to Mollie's murder, I'd be thinking about a defamation suit (against the defense team) at this point. Unbelievable.

If the judge allows this woman’s testimony, he has gone over to the dark side.
I am sorry for this woman’s life but how is this relevant..
