So closings are tomorrow?
All it takes is one moron to believe this ridiculous story.I am a bit nervous. The state has to do a very clear and amazing closing to overcome this pack of lies just given to the jury.
I think Dalton kind of rubs people the wrong way. I hope the jury doesn't hate him.In hindsight, the defense did an adequate job now to dirty up DJ and friends, making them scapegoats in this fantasy story.
It would be so frightening, immoral and wrong to allow this killer to walk free from this.![]()
I think he implicates them Bec cause they are the only ones who might have some motive to harm her. You always look at the boyfriend first.I can see the grasping at straws to get himself out of his crime & LWOP. But why implicate DJ & Ulises Felix? Is this an act of revenge against the Tibbetts family because they are close to these 2? And CB blames them for his predicament? Why DJ & UF?
I agree...I just think they should have been prepared with questions to pepper him with regardingI am not sure how anyone wouldn't have been caught off guard. How does a prosecutor prepare for this story? The defense set up the narrative that her boyfriend was sketchy and maybe did it. Random DNA not their clients involved, he blacked out, maybe interpretation issues, he was tired, maybe coerced confession, etc. Nowhere did they ever suggest up to this point that someone broke in his home, kidnapped him at gunpoint, took him to drive around and find a girl running and then wait in the car while they killed her and then left him in the car with all the evidence to get rid of. I mean how does anyone prepare to cross examine that story?
@Megnut I agree. Earlier today I stated we are actually seeing what he did. He is shedding light (even if it is through two faux masked men) on what happened that evening.Did I hear him say that the sweaterthreaters had him pull ahead of Mollie?
I think he was shedding truth cells, just hiding his culpability. Black out becomes mystery Eddie Bauer winter collection men...
He told us he had access to a camp knife.
He may have told us how he accosted Mollie. 6 passes... if he stopped ahead of her run, he could've been feigning car trouble, could have assumed a very non threatening pose... helpful, she may not have realized she was in danger until it was too late.
Disabled her fast and hard.... before speeding to the next location....
I don't think he EVER carried her ...
And I do think she tried to run.
Hence the wounds on her back, hence her clothing in other areas.
Here's the sum of his defenseless defense IMO: SHE MADE HIM MAD. So he killed her.
IMO his fabrication today convicts him. Only the guilty would concoct a story like that. Innocent people don't. Take away the knitwear and all you have is CBR, acting alone, guilty as charged, guilty as sin.

I agree. The other gf just doesn't seem enough of a motive to go through all of this. It not like he had to kill her to avoid child support or anything. They were just dating. Besides, he really seems to have wanted to be with Mollie.I think he implicates them Bec cause they are the only ones who might have some motive to harm her. You always look at the boyfriend first.
But luckily, I don't think the defense was able to build enough motive for Dalton. Their silly BS about their high school snap chat drama fell flat. Would any of that create the motive for 2 ninjas to slaughter Mollie and bring an innocent farmworker into it?
Since faux bad guy #1 had black gloves on holding a cammo knife, how in the world did Rivera see that it was cammo? His hands were covering the handle. Plus Rivera should have been so terrified he'd stared straight ahead and obeyed their commands. Not someone looking around. He's a joke!I agree...I just think they should have been prepared with questions to pepper him with regarding
pre-ninja claims just in case.
or...flat out just say white house? The same white house we already showed you in court?
What intersection at 385th? The same intersection we already showed you in court?
Cammo knife?...like a hunting fishing knife....like someone with a fishing pole in the truck with a dead girl in it might have?
You don't remember how the trunk was opened but you remember what the dead girl in there was wearing?
Why did you have her phone and earbuds at all?
They just needed a ride to a cornfield?
Super polite burglars who wait for you to finish showering for your date? How was that date? What is her name?
Why does ^^ this worry me?Court TV said jurors are taking lots of note during CBR on the stand

They spoke to him in English -- CBR said he understands the basics. CBR says he also heard one of the ninja bandito's say something about "Jack" but he's not claiming either dude was Dalton Jack because he doesn't know DJ.That would have been a great question! Were the ninjas speaking Spanish or English?
Because we both know there are a lot of stupid people out there. Why does ^^ this worry me?
That kind of questioning can be a double edged sword.I wish they would ask him more specific questions to get him to mess up. What did they say to him when he got out of the shower? Did they tell him to get dressed? Did they seem nervous? Were they forceful? Why did they "ask" him instead of order him to do things? (They sound like very polite Ninjas.) Did he hear anyone cry out? How much time passed between the time they got out of the car and he heard the thumping sound? Which direction did they go when they left him there?
Nope, they appeared sans vehicle-- just as miraculously as they vanished in the cornfield.Doesn't he live in a trailer on the farm ? There are a lot of people on that farm. Nobody saw the ninjas walk up there that day?
It's laughable...So if two men forced him to kidnap and sexually assault MT, why didn't they just kill him? There would be no reason to let him live after he had kidnapped MT. The story doesn't hold any water.
Perhaps she tried to run? CBR grabbed her from behind? Stab wounds to back? IMOO
It’s one hell of a coincidence that Mollie’s remains were found in such disturbingly close proximity to the man she truly believes is responsible.
"Hot" sounds too sexual. Since it was likely a sexually motivated crime, the defense wouldn't want it known that he used that word. ImoIt was important to CBR to clarify how he described Mollie (guapa vs caliente, I gather). That was his big objection? He didn't want that misrepresentation to stand? Wow. Just wow. He realizes he's on trial for MURDER, right?
