Whew! You all left me in the dust but I'm finally caught up.

I was looking forward to seeing this thread title updated to "Guilty" but obviously that won't happen until (at least) tomorrow. I say let the jury take the time they need to get it right. If they just follow the evidence they'll get there, and this lying, murdering, maniac will be found guilty as charged. MOO
In my imagination/happy place, they have already taken a vote, and are ready for the verdict---but they decided to sleep on it. And tomorrow morning they will have a coffee and donut and agree to call in their GUILTY verdict to the judge.

Yeah, that ninja story (((dance))) was obnoxious and insulting as defense Mrs said “now you’re not saying one of the men was Dalton Jack are you”

MOO

I know...that was so disingenuous. 'You are not accusing Dalton Jack are you?'

Meanwhile, every cross examination is focused on DJ and his brother. Every inference of guilt possible is made.

Accusations that he is a cheater, and has a dangerous temper---even though there have been no reports or evidence or complaints about DJ ever being violent or threatening towards Mollie.

They keep mentioning his guns and hunting rifles---as if that is something unusual in Iowa. And as if he had ever been threatening or violent towards anyone with his weapons.

And they keep trashing his alibi, even though there were witnesses and testimony that he was working out of town when the murder happened.

But oh heavens no, we're not accusing him of anything....

Oh, and the masked man in the backseat called his partner 'JACK" ...lmao

I am hoping that the jury will have the same reaction as I did when I heard the killer say that...My eyes almost rolled out of my head ...

Well, they certainly didn't plant any seeds of doubt in anyone here. I think the immediate reaction for most people was total consternation when CBR began his testimony. The next reaction was disbelief and maybe even disdain for both the defense and their client.

Hopefully the jury felt the same. They at least understand that they need to look at the evidence, and there is no evidence that anyone other than the defendant is responsible for the crime.

Spoiler alert!

My reaction to his story was to go to YouTube and listen to The Corries sing ‘The Vicar and the Frog’ which till now was my idea of the best example of a truly desperate defense attorney.

The faux masked men scenario never addresses "why" she was undressed under the cornstalks.

That makes him look guilty.

EXACTLY, that was the BOOM moment for me in the closing arguments, when Scott hit that home. There is no way out of that one! Which means it disqualifies the whole defence's story.

Also, when Brown mentioned the position of MT's legs, top raised, pants off, leading to SA was great.
This fact CBR was not happy to hear.:):):)

Would love to listen to jury deliberation. Debates for guilty/not guilty. Level of guilt.

That was what did it for me, too. I used to drive a Malibu and there is no way a grown man would fit crouched down in the front of that car.

I did my part in giving the defense the benefit of doubt throughout this trial. I listened and waited for them to tie things together, or for some kind of bombshell testimony, but THAT was not it.

As I've said before, my concern has never really been that the jury will buy CBR's story, my concern is whether or not the state proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt. I *think* they have, but I'm slightly unsettled.

Right, they are 'ducking down' but somehow holding a knife and gun in a threatening manner? How do you 'duck down' in a moving car and simultaneously control the driver?

Well lets hope for a verdict today

Great point and how did he say it, they were not "serious" with the gun? If that is the case, why didn't he yell and run for help when they left his trailer. There were surely people close enough to his trailer that may have heard him? Like another posted mentioned, they politely waited for him to get out of the shower. He did not describe their interaction as violent at all. Unless I missed something because I was completely shocked at his story. But I did not hear, gun to his head, camo knife to his back or neck, being forced to the car. In fact, they sound like a couple of goofs!

Isn't it ironic that he portrayed the "real" perpetrators as a couple of imbeciles?

I’m heading out and won’t be back until sometime this afternoon. I’ll check off and on for a verdict and hope to be celebrating with y’all later today! Save me a seat!
Justice for Mollie!

Isn't it ironic that he portrayed the "real" perpetrators as a couple of imbeciles?

And also, isn't it TELLING (on himself) that, by his own testimony under oath, the imbeciles left BEFORE the cornstalks were placed? By his own admission, he was the ONLY person in the cornfield with Mollie.

It's that simple. And that horrifying.

LWOP just isn't even enough.

Good morning you all! I hope the jury is discussing everything you have all discussed this morning!
Praying for justice for Molly!

Hoping for a guilty verdict this morning. I may not be able to be here for a couple of hours this morning but I pray that when I get back on I see Guilty as charged!

Tonight I was reading some SM posts about this trial. Amazed how many people believe the Ninja story. Really????
"Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. In the matter of People of the State of California versus Orenthal James Simpson, case number BA097211. We, the jury, in the above-entitled action, find the Defendant, Orenthal James Simpson, not guilty of the crime of murder in violation of penal code section 187(A), a felony, upon Nicole Brown Simpson, a human being, as charged in Count I of the information."

This and the Casey Anthony verdict is making me crazy.
I have faith in these Iowan jurors.
