GUILTY IA - Nohema Graber, 66, HS teacher, beaten to death by students, Fairfield, Nov 2021 *arrests

On the other hand, Miller and his mother met with Mrs. Graber only hours before he beat her to death with a baseball bat.
^^rsbm

I recall the evidentiary hearing trying to get the case to juvenile court where Miller's mother stated they left the meeting with Nohema feeling heard and how she was willing to schedule additional tutoring for Miller, and how her son had no reason whatsoever to kill Graber!

To follow through and murder this woman is just evil!

And after the case ruled the defendants would be tried as adults, Miller's mother wanted it on record that Goodale was so much larger and weighed 20+ pounds more than her son, and could have killed Nohema all on his own.

IMO, all she did was plant the seed in Millers head to continue placing the blame on Goodale. At the sentencing of Miller, this approach of trying to blame Goodale did not go down well with Judge Showers at all. JMO

Nohema Graber was a beloved teacher and active member of her church. Graber’s sister-in-law Marilyn Fuest said in her victim impact statement that every person Graber met became her friend.

“People called her an angel,” Fuest said. “She loved people and prayed for them earnestly.”

One of the most horrific cases I've followed committed by two minors, charged as adults. And for what? Because one student didn't like his grade which he believed would affect his ability to study abroad! Well, Mr. Miller, now you will never leave Iowa....

ETA: The court ruled Willard would have to serve 35 years before being eligible for parole.

Ms Graber should be teaching a new flock of students this fall -- enjoying her daily walks in the crisp autumn air. Willard is a monster who thought he could get away with ending her life because she did not 'measure' in his world. He thought he could blame Goodale and they would take his word for it. Because Goodale doesn't 'measure' either. Willard -- an elitist and a killer. MOO
