Found Deceased IA - Paul Block, 53, Buchanan Co, 18 Mar 2022

BUCHANAN COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) - The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance in finding a missing man.

Paul Block was last seen on Friday, March 18 in Buchanan County. He is described as being 53 years old, and is about 6 feet tall and 190 pounds, with brown and grey hair and brown eyes. His girlfriend says he usually wears a baseball hat.

Block drives a gray GMC Sierra with no foot rails. His family says a keychain of deer antlers is hanging from the rearview mirror.

Block is from Jesup but is regularly in Waterloo.

Block's sister says last Friday, March 18 was the last time he was seen. A bank transaction was completed on his account in Waterloo Saturday morning at approximately 9 a.m., but there has been no activity since that time. He wasn't at work Monday which she says is "NOT like him at all!" The family believes his cellphone has been turned off or the battery has died, because it goes directly to voicemail.

Hmmm. This all sounds a bit fishy to me.

Who last saw Paul? Where did he go Friday after he was last seen? Did investigators get video of the Saturday morning bank transaction or was this an ebanking transaction? Any footage of Paul spending money at areas businesses? I'll do a bit of digging around to see if any other details have been released about Paul's disappearance or discovery. I get the feeling there will be more to come concerning Paul's death.
