*Trial Continues (Day 5) (@ 9am CT) - IA - Sterling Daniel Koehn (4 mos old) (found Aug. 30, 2017 decomposing & covered in maggots in swing, Alta Vista) – only for *Zachary Paul Koehn (28) charged & indicted (10/24/17) with 1st degree murder & child endangerment. Plead not guilty; $100K Cash bond.
*Cheyanne Renae Harris (20) charged & indicted (10/24/17) with 1st degree murder & child endangerment. Plead not guilty. $100K Cash bond.

11/1/18 Update Day 4: Judge Richard Stochl ruled that some of the statements Cheyanne Harris, child's mom, made to DCI agents are admissable. State witnesses: DCI agent John Turbett started testifying yesterday, State played audio of the interview yesterday. Iowa State Chief Medical Examiner Dennis Klein. Both side stipulate that Koehn is the biological father of Sterling. Timothy Huntington, forensic entomologist. State rests their case. Defense attorney Drahozal arguing that state failed to present evidence to back the murder charge. No evidence of malice aforethought. Want judgement of aquittal on both charges. Judge Richard Stochl denies defense motion to dismiss charges; sufficient evidence to support murder and child endangerment charges, trial will continue. Defense witnesses: DCI agent Chris Callaway (interviewed Cheyanne Harris). Willis Koehn (Zachary's father). Danny Koehn, Zach's older brother. Greg Nightingale, Zach's cousin. I know we can’t like but I’ve just came across one on twitter created by someone claiming to be Sterling’s Uncle. They have stated he was found dead in October and used false names for the parents.... weird

First witness is a neighor. She saw Cheyanne Harris outside the apartment complex in July 2017. This was after a storm...

Harris was outside talking to people for about half an hour. Neighbor didn't see any children with her, no infant with her.
