Under the newly unsealed order, access to medical and mental health records from Kohberger and his family is limited to direct review by prosecutors assigned to the case. It prohibits further dissemination, except if it is necessary to help prosecutors prepare for court proceedings, such as hearings, trial and sentencing. Prosecutors are not allowed to share the records with any unauthorized individuals.

New: Blood DNA from unidentified males was found at the #Moscow home where the #Idaho4 were killed. Legal experts expect the defense will present that evidence to "muddy the waters" at #BryanKohberger's capital murder trial this upcoming summer in Boise.



An unknown individual’s blood DNA was discovered on a handrail in the off-campus home where the four University of Idaho students were fatally stabbed. Another unknown blood sample was found on a glove that police located just outside the home, Bryan Kohberger’s lead defense attorney told the court late last month.

An Idaho judge declined to throw out key evidence against the man charged with murder in connection with the killings of four University of Idaho students, saying Wednesday that the genetic investigation process that it hinges on was not unconstitutional.

Judge Steven Hippler was not swayed by legal arguments made by Bryan Kohberger's defense team that law enforcement violated his constitutional rights when they used a process called Investigative Genetic Genealogy, or IGG, to identify possible suspects.
