Looks like there's lots of back and forth on if this is a female or male skull from the initial media coverage.

19 September 1985, The Spokesman Review, pg 16

"[Black] said the skull was discovered in an empty field about 200 to 300 yards from the river. animals could have carried the skull to the field, he speculated."

"The sheriff's department believe the death occurred about 10 years ago."

"The skull had three remaining teeth, all with fillings."

This is the last article I can find. From Namus it looks like the gender is still unknown, but from the earlier reports it looks like we may be looking at someone who died around 1975, was white, in their early 20's, and had dental work done.

Rougly 24 years of age is an extremely specific estimate. I wonder what brought them to that conclusion

This case made me think of the unidentified hitchhiker Ted Bundy murdered and dumped in a river in Idaho in '74.

Bonner is almost to Canada, about an 18 hour drive from Bundy's victims in Southern Idaho. It's not impossible, but highly unlikely IMO. I think this is probably one of the several overdue hikers/hunters in the area.

Yeah, I just thought I'd bring it up because it's the only Doe in the area that even had a chance of matching.
