So has anyone here read the book, Out of the Woods: A Girl, A Killer and a Lifelong Struggle to Find the Way Home by Gregg Olsen?

One thing that surprised me was Shasta’s negative interaction with Elizabeth Smart in May 2012. Apparently, Shasta met Elizabeth and introduced herself then began telling Elizabeth her story. Elizabeth cut Shasta off, saying she had to catch a plane, and gave Shasta a signed copy of her book. Shasta later calls Elizabeth a “B****!”

Thoughts?

If possible, it would be great if many of us here on Websleuths could donate to her!

I wonder if Shasta has had a chance to meet with other survivors of abduction? I know Dr. Rebecca Bailey, Jaycee Dugard’s therapist, wrote the Afterward to Shasta’s book, but it’s unclear if Shasta met Jaycee.

I think Sarah Maynard would be a great survivor for Shasta to meet as there are similarities in their stories.

By the way, has anyone read her book Out of the Woods?
