That struck me too... IR seemed very sure that ggp was not on oxygen during the camping trip. And IMO, he would have remembed if he was.

Where did that rumour come from, that he was actually on oxygen *during* the trip? Was it a family member trying to stick up for him when people suspected him?

I've wondered about this from the beginning. I don't doubt GGP had health problems but feel it has been taken advantage of and/or exagerated. I'm sure Deorr going missing made his health decline after but I doubt he could not only drive, but drive a distance towing a big trailer if he was so ill he needed oxygen and has dementia.

I think she looked scared in that interview.

But scared of what? Scared of him, or scared of being found out? I think she was probably suffering from terrible anxiety about being found out and going to prison.

What's Jessica's facebook page?

I know she talked bad about SB.

This thread is moving fast this afternoon! Though little DeOrr may be found on that mountain, early on I had suspicions he wasn't based on statements by the father. When the parents said very early on they believed DeOrr was abducted I wondered if it was because they knew, if found, DeOrr wouldn't be found on the mountain. That, coupled with the fact that shortly thereafter the father said he wasn't going to leave the mountain until DeOrr was found, left me with the impression the reason he said he'd stay there until DeOrr was found was because it's what he believed he needed to do to prevent any suspicion he was involved in DeOrr's disappearance.

I wish I could think of questions for Tricia to ask the sheriff that he would actually answer. Perhaps he would answer if they have decided to expand the search off the mountain and possibly into other jurisdictions.

My sentiments, exactly. Personally, I've been careful to not comment or even "like" from my Facebook account any of the news stories related to this because I have gone and looked through the family's Facebook pages and the stuff they post kind of freaks me out. The last thing I need is any one of them harassing ME. Nope.

I'm with you on that. I read, but never like or comment. Some comments are vicious and if you dare comment with an opposing point of view, look out! I just read until I get bored of the name calling and insane remarks, some of which have nothing to do with the original discussion.

I think both.

Montana is about two hours away from Leadore, correct? Or is it closer? Google maps is not playing nicely with me today.

eta: My response seems random -- it was in reference to your comment about other jurisdictions. I'm just wondering if other states may also be a consideration but not sure of the geography/time/possibility.

13.7 miles/45 minutes according to Google via old Idaho 28.

Yes... She called him an "idiot". We were allowed to discuss it because it was on a public page about DeOrr, although it's been deleted now.

Lemhi County Sheriff's Office First of all, you have your information wrong. Mr Reinwand , not Reinwald, has cooperated and taken a polygraph. It was inconclusive, because of medical condition, and we were aware that it would be inconclusive. The time he was missing, was while he was looking for Deorr. He could not have walked far enough to get outside our search area. FLIR was used by a helicopter that night. Deorr was not in the search area, and my two scent dogs should of found him within that 3 mile radius that we initially searched. Deorr was not there. I have never said that I was going to charge anyone with a homicide....check your facts. All I want is the truth, and the parents are being less than truthful. That comes from the experts..........Sheriff Bowerman

I'm not sure if I did that right. It's from the Visitor posts section on the Lemhi County SO fb page in response to a snarky comment.

Do the parents have a life insurance policy on Deorr Jr?

I haven't heard that mentioned anywhere although it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't. Most young parents don't think about the possible need for having one on their children as they barely think about the need for having one for themselves.

I don't think so, and even if they did I don't think it would pay out with no body

Assuming Jessica Mitchell and DeOrr Kunz (the father) are involved in the disappearance and presumed death of little DeOrr, then certainly they should be smart enough to know if one of them is secretly harboring thoughts on how to implicate the other, then so is the other. It very well may not be about who cracks first, but who is smart enough to realize the potential leniency in coming forward first.

That's certainly not a good way to make friends with the sheriff

Do the parents have a life insurance policy on Deorr Jr?
Did I hear something about that somewhere?
Possibly Klein gave out an acronym that I googled at the time, and it linked to a policy. VLU?
Searching for link, brb...
