This is how I feel as well. From the first interview, Deorr stole the show and she barely uttered anything. Didn't she "clarify" a couple things for him? This is pure speculation, but I wonder if she was a victim of domestic violence. I say this because I was married to a man for 17 years who was emotionally and physically abusive to me, and occasionally the children, and I felt so down and helpless I was nearly paralyzed. He was a well-liked pillar of the community but nobody knew what was going on behind closed doors. If he and I had been interviewed about ANYTHING, he would've been the one to do virtually almost all the talking. Seems like Jessica couldn't get a word in edgewise. Then, in the interview with them and their relatives on the couch, she was so withdrawn and based on her body language she looked as if she were turning away from Deorr, never mind that she never uttered a word. I wonder if she is usually as passive as she is on camera. In the first interview, she just looks resigned and defeated, as if she knew getting Little Deorr back was a lost cause, because she and Deorr (allegedly) knew exactly what had happened to him. Deorr totally took control of the interview and was lauding the searchers and their fascinating equipment, with barely a plea or much mention of his son. Jessica seemed to be there only to make her statement about Deorr's blanky and cup. I think it's more than a case of introvert/extrovert. I think Deorr Sr was the one who did something to Deorr, because she just seems too passive and he talked nonstop. I would have liked to see how she answered the questions that were asked of Deorr Sr.

Again, based only on my experience, I believe domestic violence may play a strong part of this case. The perpetrator can be so controlling. They can even **** with your mind to the point that the victim may even start to believe, while being intimidated, what was reality and what was not. Controlling you and messing with your mind can do horrible things to a victim of abuse.

And of course, if this is the case, Deorr may not have had qualms about doling physical punishment to his young son. And maybe that played a part in Little Deorr's demise, and subsequent cover-up. I pray this was not the case. In any case, no matter how he (likely) died, I and probably most everyone who has followed the case have shed tears over this little boy, and I hope justice is swift, although I don't think any justice will ever be enough. :(

MOO

Well stated! I think you called it like you see it. I certainly see it that way too. Trying hard not to let my dislike of the father sway my opinion of what I think happened.

Cadaver Dogs

http://www.medicinefreefaq.com/medicine/medicine-3-1570.html

Answers:
A body will begin to decompose as soon as death occur. If a cadaver dog is needed to locate a body, then, logically, that body must be concealed, which is going to take some time. Thus, a cadaver dog will be able to smell a body as soon as required.
While the smell will switch on to be noticeable in about 24 hours for our senses, a dogs is much more acute and can potential begin to smell the decay within hours.

No doubt now. Vilt wrote the letter. And they never paid him.

I.R. said that the baby was on the mountain...did he ever say anywhere if the child was awake or asleep?

As on Jessica's fb page, her posts about SBS...could she have been insinuating someone else shook Deorr? Like the baby's dad? What's up with those posts?

And the first one to talk will probably get some leniency.

Remember back in the beginning, the dad saying, "We went to the store as a family." Am I remembering that correctly. IIRC, he emphasized that they made the trip as a family. That emphasis is making me think that they didn't go as a family.

??

Holy mother of God, what an interview! HIGH FIVE to Mr. Vilt for coming forward and providing so much new information to the public. And Jessica wanting to adopt the child out without DeOrr's consent, etc.? I suppose it's possible (and a theory that I don't think I've heard explored here on WebSleuths)...but I gotta say that I think these two unfit parents are in cahoots together and that they did something to that little boy (as in I think he is deceased). So weird that Vilt offered up the information that Jessica didn't want any more kids and had her tubes tied after she had DeOrr (she would have been around 22 years old at the time - do doctors even perform that sort of surgery on someone so young?). GAWDDDD!!!!! This case is making me nutso! :gaah:

I found that hard to listen to, sound quality not great. He said something about Jessica not wanting a baby and possibly putting DeOrr up for adoption without DK knowing - can anyone clarify??!!?

It definitely seems he's gunning for Jessica in particular.
I heard this on SM, that this was FV' real reason for leaving the case. He concluded that JM planned an abduction (Not forced). I thought it sounded ridiculous at the time... but, now I'm not so sure.

Wow! Staged abduction for DeOrr to be adopted w/o father's knowledge. Believes DeOrr is alive. Color me

Have to say that that is quite the ridiculous scenario.

If that turns out close to the truth I'll eat my hat. Or a crow for the internet crowd.

His adoption theory and how it's supported by one of them not wanting national attention . . . interesting.

It would explain why she seems almost bored in some of the videos.

I can definitely say this would be one of the best-case scenarios (although not sure how good a home he would go to if the parents were willing to buy and pay for him. Ick.)

But at the same time, I'm afraid this isn't going to be the case.

**all opinion only

It does sound crazy. I think whatever happened to DeOrr (if foul play is involved) the other parent MUST know.

Does she still have his blanket, cup and monkey. If not, hmmmm...

I would GREATLY appreciate someone providing a transcript. I am hearing impaired, and as such really could not understand much of what he said (because on radio I could not read his lips).

Seems like Jessica's name came up a lot though!

That Vilt interview. Jessica is one shady character in his eyes. Glad to know my radar wasn't way off the track, but if I could ever wish to be wrong about someone it would've been here.

After hearing FV' interview... it's seems Deorr never came back from the store, and
the parents lured IR back down to the river, to set up the whole... "I thought he was with you Grandpa" BS.

Yeah, he did focus more on Jessica, but also made a point to speak of DeOrr exploiting people for money. When speaking of being paid, he spoke of how DeOrr said his cousin in Utah had $1900 in a fundme account . . . but then that money ended up missing. Then he spoke about DeOrr pressuring people in Maryland to donate money and that they stole from the accounts. Lots of missing money when he spoke of DeOrr.
