Still catching up, sorry if someone's brought this forward already.
From the article:

Eaton: But we do know DeOrr was up there?

Bowerman: I’m fairly confident DeOrr was there. I can’t find anybody that says they’re 100 percent positive he was there, but I feel fairly confident he was there at one time.

Sooooooooo...

That says to me the PARENTS weren't even sure.
Weird.

Is there an entry fee to camp there? With an entrance/exit?
With a receipt?

Now that's just not correct! Our entire family are avid fisherpersons and there's not a more satisfying place to fish wile camping than in the crystal clear creeks. It's fly fishing at its best. Any kind of rod and reel including cane poles are used to catch the mouth-watering panfish.

This is the creek... it's narrow, shallow, and turbulent, but I'm not going to argue.... I just don't believe the parents were doing a lot of fishing in this creek... who hikes to a creek, starts fishing and stops fishing and hikes back up all within a 10 minute time frame? exploring, maybe; finding minnows, maybe; but not fishing. [I think this might be what SB mean when he says their story keeps changing...] MOO

Who is the witness that has come forward with info previously withheld?

1) clerk at store? We now know that VK claims DeOrr was in the store with himself and JM,
due to VK' own interview with clerk, trying to jog her memory as to seeing DeOrr.

2) GGF? Could he have come forward with some info, on the down low?

3) Adjacent campers? Did they see something?

Who else could it be?

No entrance fee or anything at the campsite. It is very rustic. They were the only people at the lower campsite at the time, there was one couple camping at the upper part of the campground, which is on the other side of the reservoir.

Here is the Forest Service link to the campground. http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/scnf/recarea?recid=76098

Someone could have come forward to say they had seen DeOrr being abused in the past. I got that impression from the sheriff's recent interviews.

Not that it really matters, but actual "fishing" in those little creeks is fun around Idaho and isn't uncommon. Little brook trout and rainbows are all over in them.

Anyway, out of DK's mouth was "we wanted to show him the minnows."

Is 50 yards far or is it close? Is ten minutes a long time or a short time? Do people like to fish in creeks? I have seen other photos of that creek on vacation blogs and there are lovely areas. Granted, nothing discussed here is an argument, or certainly shouldn't be. It's all opinion. I don't see anything unusual about the creek adventure. Should I? Not in my opinion.

I don't want to argue either, but I can totally envision testing out the fishing in that creek. (And I loved that the sheriff pronounced "crick" because that's how I grew up saying it too.) And, yes, the guys in my fishing family will be fishing within moments of arriving at camp. I think they'd troll out the car window if there was water alongside the road.

Of course I don't know how avid these guys were about fishing, but I can totally see at least casting a line or checking out the crick for fish. There might be some good catches in there.

Nothing weird or unusual about exploring, I totally agree. But in this case, little Deorr disappeared during the creek adventure....so that makes it a pretty key element of the story. IMO

Yes, my mom calls it a crick too... our family has been in Idaho for seven generations, so it's definitely a crick... anyway, enough about the crick, I wish all of this rambling could help find DeOrr. :-(

January 29th, 2016:

Bowerman: We’ve asked the public to come forward. I had four or five telephone calls this morning from individuals who either know Mom and Dad and the child and have seen them either interact in the past or they’ve overheard something or they think they can provide information.

I'm wondering why anyone would automatically think that "individuals who either know Mom and Dad and the child and have seen them either interact in the past or they’ve overheard something or they think they can provide information" means that indicates possible child abuse. They could have been calls from people stating that they were wonderful parents and had a whole world of love for Deorr.

I have always had a theory in my head that mom and dad went off for 10 or 20 minutes to smoke some weed or do some other drugd, I think it's why they are having problems with portions of their polys. I think it's why the timeline got effed up too. I think IR may be hesitant in that dept because perhaps he did drugs with them. So now they all got trapped in falsifying information. But aside from that I do think GGP was watching DeOrr and I do think he got distracted, and I DO think the child walked off and was lost. At least this is my best hope because all of the other thoughts in my head disturb me too much. I wonder what their history is regarding recreational drug use?

I don't "automatically" think that....I think any info about their family interactions would be useful to know.

Just spotted this quote from Vernal:

http://m.nydailynews.com/news/crime...ld-idaho-boy-named-suspects-article-1.2508952

So the last time they saw DeOrr, was he standing next to a picnic table, or next to a rock, or playing in the dirt with his cars, or getting ready to take a nap, or walking back to ggp, or begging candy off ggp? All of the above?

Mind-boggling, isn't it? The sheriff said the parents couldn't tell the same story twice. I'm imagining one being interviewed then comparing notes with the other after and going "Shoot, you said he was at the picnic table? I said he was playing cars in the dirt." To me all those inconsistencies are a very big deal because the child went missing in that time period and the parents are the suspects. Not to mention, we know that the FBI has concluded that the parents have repeatedly been less than truthful about the two biggest points of all: their knowledge of what happened to DeOrr and where he is

Weird.

Wonder if that was one of the poly questions? If not, maybe in hindsight it should have been if Deorr was on the camping trip. Interesting

We need to put a stop to a very specific rumor that has been alluded to here and elsewhere.

On the Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office FB account:

https://www.facebook.com/LemhiCountySheriffsOffice/

A Visitor Post queries IR’s record on a particular matter. The Sheriff responded yesterday at 8:40 am with “Where it shows he was arrested, I read, in the report, where he was a witness.”

Any further insinuation or reference to it in this thread could result in a WS vacation.

Also, please Thank this post to acknowledge that you have read it and that you understand it.
