But if you are watching a 2 yr old that goes missing, saying he was last seen 'in the campground' is not very specific.

Yeah but if I was taking pumpkins to the campground as a memorial, I might choose to set down the pumpkins somewhere that is convenient, nice looking, easily visible, and not in anyone's way, even if it's not the literal last spot I saw my child in. Let's say he was last seen going down to the stream and it's lower ground and covered by bushes I would probably not create a memorial somewhere that no one's going to see it unless they know where it is.

True. I hear what you are saying in terms of the memorial. But it is not really the last place he was seen, supposedly. He was last seen walking over the embankment towards the creek. And that is important to the story if someone is searching or trying to figure out what happened. So it bugs me that a newspaper article would say he was 'last seen' by the rock at the picnic table. I would also like to hear Vernal's 911 call. If he gave directions to the campground, it would be interesting to know if they were exactly the same as Jessica's.
Can anyone please tell me where to find the video of the re-enactment? Thank you.

I rewatched and saw that too. I didn't hear a ring, so it was probably on vibrate. But if you had a missing child wouldn't you check it ASAP?

While watching I was also reminded of something we discussed here in the beginning, but I don't know if it was ever mentioned later. At about the 5:50 mark a reporter asks them something like "Have you told them about the "EMT bag" "That needs to be addressed".

Sorry I'm out of the loop, but did anything ever come of that?

Yep, I don't think Deorr is anywhere near that campsite. They knew no one was going to find him in the search, no reason to check on that call at all.

Even if she wasn't screaming- there is something off about her call. I don't hear an urgency in her voice. You can hear the 911 operators tone change when she asks about being near water, as she is realizing the gravity of the situation. JM sounds like she is ordering pizza. Have you ever seen someone faking an accent, like in a local theater production? Halfway in they'll get so wrapped up in remembering their lines that they forget about the accent. At first JM sounds a little shaken, but the rest of the call is monotone as she relays the facts. Just my thoughts re-listening to the call today.

During interview:
Is there a reason for mom to have a plaid or whatever draped over her left arm? It looks like there was a reason. When she was shown outside the building, she continued to have it there, always on the left side.

So, I've done some searching on the Idaho Court Records website under DeOrr's name, but wasn't using "Vernal" as a first name. Today I finally used Vernal and discovered he was divorced from a J**** C******* Kunz on 8/29/11 (no children involved). He was born in 1989 so that means he was 22 years old at the time. Sheesh! That sure is young to already be married and divorced!

It's the baby blanket.

I believe that was little DeOrr's blanket baby blanket.

I am not really sure how much we are allowed to say about that. At one time, Bessie allowed us to summarize what was said by the grandmother. Apparently, one of the searchers had an EMT bag stolen from their vehicle during the initial searches for DeORR. No one ever found out who stole it, AFAIK.

Aha! Thank you, now it makes sense that I couldn't find anything in search. I hope I didn't get us both in trouble for asking LOL!

JM was also married and divorced and had three kids quite young.

I hadn't realized DK had been married as well.

Is it a fact they got there before LE? I find it hard to believe they got there in under 90 minutes. Unless they were already on the way to join them?
RSBM

Interesting point, TheTruthWillOut. Nice Username, btw. :)
Did they call anyone BEFORE the 911 call ... or right after ? Nothing about this in msm afaik.
( I'm assuming by this point that le have both phones and know who was called and the content of those calls. )

Not necessarily suspicious in and of itself ; it's just that there are so many parts that add to this puzzle.

Yeah, baby blanket... The family said she takes it wherever she goes, loves it...

July 17th, 2015:

The boy's parents refuse to come down from the site until they have a definitive answer that their son, who loved trucks and carried a baby blanket, is not there...

While Mitchell, 25, continues to wait for any news, she clutches her son's baby blue blanket, which he left behind.

"The blanket was in the truck, so Jessica now has got that blanket and she will not let go of it. She holds it, smells it, loves it," [DeOrr's grandfather Dennis] Kunz says. "It's the only attachment she has to that boy right now."

What, they switched DeOrr with another toddler? :waitasec:
that doesn't make sense.

What??

I only briefly entertained the theory of a planned abduction (possibly someone holding him until a drug debt was paid). But an abduction by a stranger? No way!

One thing I haven't seen mentioned where a planned adoption scenario occurred, is about the the other side of the triad. (birthmother, mother, child...i only know this because 3 of my 5 kids were adopted). Anyway, somebody would be awfully stupid to participate in an illegal adoption. What would they do, keep Deorr hidden in their house for years? There's surely no way to make a legitimate birth certificate, or as we all know a social security card is another story. For Deorr to go to school, that wouldn't work out either. And what about the adoptive parents' extended families? What, suddenly there is a toddler boy they just happened to adopt? If they'd heard about Deorr they'd be mighty suspicious.

Not to mention, if Jessica didn't want to raise Deorr, I'm certain someone in their extended families would agree to raise him (perhaps Jessica's mom, Deorr's sister, and God knows who else).

I agree but none of this is making too much sense,,,sorry:(

The main thing wrong with switching him out for another toddler IMO is that IR and GGP (allegedly) saw him at the campsite. Even if IR didn't know what little Deorr looked like because he'd never met him, he sure as H*LL would notice all the Deorr pictures after the fact (unless perhaps IR was heavily drugged).

IMO it wasn't a reporter that wanted to address the EMT bag. Someone was sitting over there trying to get Jessica's attention, she kept looking over at them. At the 3:44 mark she lifts her finger at them as if to say just a minute. IMO her mother was there with them, or someone she knew, not a reporter.
