I wonder if one of the witnesses might have been the owner of the Silver Dollar, RC. She was also featured in one of the TV news stories and has an interesting past.

It would seem she (and the regulars) would remember and might get to know everyone who came through her restaurant.

Sure, I remember her and the no one in their right mind would use that road story.

whoa hold the phone - can someone post a link where the restaurant owner said that? I don't know how I totally missed it. dumb bunny. TIA!!!

She was pretty sure that DeOrr wasn't up there. I wonder if she saw him Thursday night (or didn't see him...).

"I don't think he's up there." "It's so rural up there and the drive up there. No one would be going up there to look for a kid to kidnap. They just wouldn't drive up. You wouldn't want to go up there. The road is horrible."

"There's been a lot of people up there. A lot, a lot, a lot of people. Even after the search was don't there's been people," Cox said.
"I think he would have been found if he was. Don't you?"

Another member mentioned that SB and the FBI were at the campsite/mountain very recently on snowmobiles (I don't have link). I have a theory, that they were following ping hits.. and placing JM/VK at different locations for (?) lengths of time throughout the day. With this info, they're (IMO) probably mapping out a most likely search area where DeOrr might be located.

So she is the owner of the bar they went to Thursday night?

Q: Did any, or all, of the adults go to the Silver Dollar Restaurant and Bar in Leadore on Thursday, July 9th?
KIC: As this is in the timeline - and outside any prosecutional questions - the answer is yes.

Does anyone else think she has an odd look on her face when asked if she knows where baby Deoor might be? Since she was actually interviewed I wonder why she didn't mention the parents were in her bar Thurs? Maybe she wasn't there and didn't know? This is very odd to me for some reason....JMO

On 1-29-16:

Nate Eaton to Sheriff Bowerman:

"What do you think happened?"

Sheriff Bowerman to Nate Eaton:

"I have no clue. Absolutely no clue."

2-3-16:

Comment to Phillip Klein:

"Mr Klein, in your opinion have the parents lied to law enforcement and/or to your team?"

Phillip Klein response:

"You just asked the 1 million dollar question. No comment at this time."

I don't even understand Klein's response!

I don't even understand Klein's response!

What I take out of it is that since this has nothing to do with the case as its not a questionable event he can answer on it. So it is prior to the time that he feels Deorr went missing and they started making stuff up. But again that is my take on it.

Yup, I do NOT understand the reasoning or lack of it but it appears his answer is yes they were there Thursday night. JMO

She is the owner of the Silver Dollar. There is no way of knowing if she was there Thursday night, but it's a small town and I doubt she has too many employees, so I would think she'd have some knowledge that they had been in her restaurant/bar. The news interview is a month after his disappearance. I think it's odd as well...the fact that she was interviewed and didn't mention that they had been there and the fact that Deputy Penner said their only stop on Thursday was to get diesel...something is off...

Q: Did any, or all, of the adults

to that he answered yes. if she had included 'deorr' in her question, my guess is it WOULD fall within 'prosecutorial' and he'd have said 'no comment'. but he did say it was 'in the timeline'. most timeline questions he wouldn't answer.

so was deorr at the restaurant or wasn't he. I'm confusing myself. anyone want to help?

ETA - he must've been if Klein's timeline starts at 8:00am. correct?

That is how I see it too. But, it's weird that he also says there is no reliable sighting of DeOrr. DeOrr must not have gone into the restaurant? But, Klein must not think that is pertinent to how (or when) he went missing and that's why it's inconsequential to him (or prosecutors), I guess... maybe?

If it is fact in what Klein statd regarding "any, or, of the adults" went to the Silver Dollar Restaurant and Bar on Thursday, July 9th, I would like to know if it was "any, or all." If all went and were there at the same time, was Deorr seen there by any witnesses? If not, why not? If "any" means one or more of the four adults were there, then who was it, where were the other adults, and whom was Deorr with, at least allegedly? This line of questioning is really only valid if in FACT "any, or all" of the 4 adults actually were at the restaurant as Klein stated.

Yes, maybe that's his reasoning - because the question didn't include any information on DeOrr? One to four (we don't know how many) adults going into a restaurant in and of itself is not criminal. We've been told all along about the trip to the Stage Stop, though. It's weird this stop hasn't been mentioned before, but maybe they are certain that DeOrr disappeared after this stop. It still seems like an important part of the timeline, though, especially to know if DeOrr was seen and if so, whether he was in good condition, etc. It's a bit confusing....

ETA: it's been said they arrived at 9:30 PM Thursday evening - does that mean they arrived in Leadore or at the campground? I wonder when the Silver Dollar stops serving food because Bowerman said they tried to buy food (unsuccessfully, would be the assumption). I'm just trying to figure out the timing as to whether DeOrr would likely have been awake or asleep...

Except, Klein says basically, it's in the timeline so I'll answer. Huh?

Maybe they "went there" and it was closed. Didn't Bowerman say they "tried" to buy food?

The first part of your post made me laugh -- I am the queen of shamecropping. And one of my favorite pics of my kids was on an outing last year, and we didn't think to take pictures until the very end when everyone was hot and tired. So two of my kids have bravely worked up a smile for the camera while the third has this incredibly "SO OVER IT" look on his face. It's hilarious.

(Snipped by me). "Shamecropping" - love that term! I'm also guilty. I like sharing fun stuff but you won't catch me posting drama on my page (not because there has never been any, but it's really not anyone else's business.). What you said about your favorite photo from the outing? Sounds like my recent attempt to get a decent Christmas photo. Hint: it. Doesn't. Change. Speaking from a mother of three "boys" (ages 13, 18 and 20).

Our youngest grandson turned two the end of July at which time he measured a size 6. He is of average height and weight but has wide, pudgy feet. He cannot wear Nikes as they run narrow. We took him to Target and I swear, we couldn't even BEGIN to get any of the shoe styles we liked on his feet. Finally, my husband found a pair of slip-on boating type shoes with two Velcro fasteners that were kind of cute. We couldn't get the 6 or 7 on his foot but the size 8 worked perfectly. We learned from this experience. Although some stores sell Toddler size shoes in a wide width, they are far and few between, so we end up having to buy two sizes larger than he measures, but it works. They don't slip off nor does he walk out of them. FWIW, he now measures a size 8.

I know the struggle! I can never find wide enough shoes for my son. It's actually somewhat frustrating.
