They edited the worst bit out of that interview clip I posted above... The bit where she says that social media has been the worst thing. I will find the unedited version for those who haven't seen it.

JMO but I personally never saw J as a scared, intimidated woman as some did from her silent interview. I thought she looked angry. All just moo but I felt like she didn't want to do the interview but the family had talked her into it, but she wasn't happy about it. And just moo, but I though she probably stayed silent because she didn't want people to reverse or analyse her speech, as Vernal said people have been doing in that video clip I posted above.

My impression was: She had demanded before that he should speak. While he talked and talked, she listened very critical and thought his talking was not perfect enough at all, but was glad to have to say nothing.

I've tried to find a map of sorts that would show the three points of interest - the campground, the store and the Silver Dollar.

Would one of you kind people please point me in the direction of finding something like this?

I am very interested in seeing the areas between the campsite and the store (Persimmon's post about this area is intriguing!) and also the area between the Silver Dollar and the campsite.

True, but they nor LE ever called him out as an individual. Instead they generalised the whole of SM as a problem. Klein did do something about him and it seems to have reduced/stopped.

As for JM's behaviour/body language etc I do have an opinion/gut feeling it isn't right, but that means nothing. What I find more telling is that on the day they were declared suspects EIN posted this as the headline picture:

I did this for the places in Leadore:

The only thing between the above and campground is a ranch they have to pass close by. The below video gives a great overview of the campground:

I have watched the interview many times. It was kind that the father went on and on about the excellence of the search and rescue - especially the helicopter search. However I wish that he had gone on and on about how wonderful Deorr was. His body language showed him open whereas hers is definitely closed.

Most interviews I have viewed where parents have missing children they are so distraught that they have to collect themselves before they can even speak. That is certainly not the case here. I was surprised that this interview took place so soon - the Monday after the previous Friday's disappearance. The show of tears at the end of the interview seemed less than genuine.

Myself, I know that I could not be touching my baby's blanket without sobbing. I just couldn't. I would likely go on and on about how the scent of him was still on the blanket. I know I wouldn't have been checking my phone during the interview. I would probably be inconsolable. That would be natural.

The interview seemed more of a job interview for search and rescue than a missing little boy's interview. This is just my opinion. This was my first gut feeling watching it and it just grows stronger each time I watch this.

I had not seen this one before. Interesting dad looks broken up at the end but Mom? I don't even know what to think. She doesn't look sedated, just bored, pissed, I don't know.

Okay this is really out there - but - during the interview the father says the word "snake" twice while searching for the word "salmon". Could Deorr have been bitten by a snake and they covered up because they didn't want to be found negligent? Just thinking... (Maybe thinking too much!)

I have been wondering if something happened to DeOrr during the time VDK was at work and JM would have been with DeOrr getting the gear together for camping.

I have also wondered about the abduction thing being a set up, not by both parents but by one of them.

Really there hasn't been any scenario that I haven't wondered about.

I pray that little DeOrr is found and justice is served

You can thank desert-blue. She posted. I just responded to it I thought the grandparents were genuine too. Watching these interviews again makes me wonder about the dad. Yes he's talking a lot and it's super annoying. But he also looks upset at times, especially at the end when he talks to Deorr. However, J doesn't look upset at all, just annoyed. Yes, she sniffles but upset her son is missing? I don't see it.

I know they were both "less than truthful" in their polys. I wonder if this disappearance is all J's fault but for some reason dad is helping her cover it up.

Ugh, I'm terrible at socializing! But it kinda dawned on me, fear, guilt or otherwise, if I don't say anything, I can't be held to anything... "yet." In a way the "If there is nothing that I know of to prove me guilty, I'm not going to slip up and give them something that will" kind of mentality.

For me it's always quotes. Your analogy reminded me of the quote: "It's better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it."
That can be changed to: It's better to be thought guilty than to open your mouth and prove it.

I am not sure if that was her strategy in the interviews or if she didn't want to argue or contradict VDK on camera but in the long run it's not a bad strategy for staying out of jail, perhaps not the best for finding Lil Man.

I can understand her checking her phone. What if it were the cops because they found DeOrr? I can't recall if she checked the caller ID. If she didn't then that's suspicious. I need to rewatch that video.

TruthWillOut, I too, find that image used an interesting choice. I can't say it isn't random yet but it certainly doesn't look like it. Maybe a little precursor to what they will look like in an orange jail jumpsuit?

Zencompass, I totally see where you are coming from. I don't honestly know if there is a too soon in that case though. Having had and lost animals that I was very attached to is hard enough. I have their favorite blankets, to this day, in sealed bags so I don't forget them. I can't bring myself to open them b/c I can still barely talk about them w/ out sobbing and it has been 10 years! Same w/ my mom. She passed almost 20 years ago and there are still some perfumes I won't smell and some phrases I can't use w/ out becoming a blubbering mess. So in JM's case, I do find her calm alarming except we have all had to be strong for loved ones who needed us. I just don't think that this one of those cases. I'm not sure if anything about that interview is genuine, other than the questions being asked.

I'm on my phone which makes it hard to do but what I did was Google Timber Creek Campground, click the first listing (the map) then routed the trip from the campground to silber dollar etc. This will map it out for you showing the two possible routes, distance etc and i traveled zooming in and out to check the landscape. Some is quite barren but at certain points the landscape becomes dense.

Glad your not lurking And I'm the same way when I talk or even think about the last dog we lost, kept his bear that he had slept with and smelled it everyday, it had his scent for months maybe even a year. They're family, our furbabies, loving, selfless and innocent.
