I noticed a flaw. DK let JM talk!

I have begun to wonder whether JM thinks VDK did it, and VDK thinks JM did it, and they muddied the waters so much trying to cover for each other that the real guilty party has been completely obscured? Yeah, I know, off the wall theory. But...

I refuse to listen to this interview again. Not they are very skilled but lying comes way too easy to these two. I wouldn't be surprised if they stole that blanket out of another kids stroller just to use as a prop. Seriously I wonder what percentage of information they gave in this interview is actually valid? I think I listened to the whole interview 3 times and I realized that my IQ had actually dropped so I've sworn off listening to it again, I don't want to vernalize myself.

It's like fine wine...joking.

I take it there's been no word from the Sheriff? I'd love to hear his response to Klein's claims of yesterday, particularly re JM's confession that she knows where the body is. I don't really understand why that in itself isn't enough for an arrest warrant. Could she be talking to LE behind the scenes to try and get a plea deal as some suggested? Surely "I know where he is" can't just be left hanging like this....?

I think if Deorr was able, he would be up very early...like with the sun wanting to be a 'mover & a goer'. Maybe that could have been a problem? Others didn't want to get up, maybe?

I also still wouldn't rule out a hot-car death. It would be hard to explain that you're on vacay at a remote campground, but you left your child in the car. Because, why??? Don't know if a car-seat would be considered equipment is there such a thing as baby equipment lol. If something happened early in the morning, I don't know if this would be possible assuming Deorr was awake & the truck nearby. In the afternoon, I could believe it or if he was up early enough that he needed an early nap as well.

VK just commented on fb that JM was fired from her job yesterday, thanks Klein! Ha! She works as a CNA in home health care, so I am surprised it hasn't happened sooner. Someone accused of murdering/disappearing their own child has no business caring for anyone!

Also- still clinging to hard denials, but commenting on Facebook? If he is still "missing" why aren't they looking for him? What is the matter with these people?

Is this in a closed group, or somewhere public?

His story about driving up the road to get a signal was the biggest load of crap. And here is why we know it was a lie.

The way he described it was so fake. He added some part about "not wanting the call to drop while he made the call".

If you were really going to call 911 to report your boy missing you would NOT first wait and go drive down the road first to an area you knew you got a signal before. You would be trying to call the whole darn time. You would call, no signal, keep driving. Call again, no signal, keep driving.
etc.

He said he wanted to go drive down that road first because he didn't want the call to drop while he made the call. NAH! It doesn't work that way in real life emergency.

He was on that road for other reasons.

Finding out all 3 called 911 was also not how its done. One person calls and others would be searching.

ETA: I think the reason they decided that each one would call 911 is in their stupid plan they thought this would be more convincing to LE. They felt if all 3 called saying the boy is missing that their story would be more believable. It is the opposite effect. It doesn't work that way in real life emergency. They would all be discussing and someone would volunteer and say....OK., I am going to call 911.

They saw too many movies and multiple people call 911 only when the situation is like a shooting incident OR a bank robbery with multiple witnesses seeing the live event happening.
Not when your group is looking for your boy.

I agree. And sometimes even in a true emergency, everyone is so caught up in the moment, no one calls 911. So if you ever come upon an accident and there are people crowded around, point to a specific person and direct them to call 911 if you aren't able to do so yourself. There's also no good reason for multiple people to bog down 911 lines to report 1 accident.

Although in this case, I do wonder if the 911 calls had conflicting information. It's likely something that wouldn't have been looked into in the initial day or two of the search. The fact they only released JM's call when there were two others makes me wonder what all was said on each call.

I find even more surprising given that Klein said that JM did break down and tell LE that she knows where the body is but isn't willing to say any more.

Someone yesterday (sorry, I can't remember who!) said that Idaho is one of only two states that don't/haven't prosecuted a case without a body? SB has talked about double jeopardy issues so I guess it could all tie in?

I actually left my child in the car (with all the windows rolled down) last summer while we were camping because of DeOrr Kunz, interestingly enough. It was our first camping trip as a family, and news was circulating around that a little boy around my daughter's age had managed to wander off and was missing. This scared the bejesus out of me. So when my daughter's 7:00 bedtime came around, and we wanted to stay up to play some campfire games with friends, we pulled the car up close, put her in her car seat, and rolled down all the windows. It was a crisp, breezy 75 degree summer night, and we felt she was more safe and secure in the car, in her car seat, than she would have been in her pack-n-play in the tent. You know, since kids were wandering off from campsites and things :liar:
That said, it was just until we went to bed, at which point we brought her into the tent with us. I can imagine that if someone had a few too many drinks they could forget that very important step and leave the kid in the car overnight. Summer nights are absolutely lovely, but Summer mornings can be scorching.

I used to think an accident wasn't a good theory because I couldn't imagine why someone would try to cover it up. But let's face it they really are that stupid. Now I'm wondering if an accident happened and JM convinced VDK that they could make money off of it. I can't get over how mad and uncomfortable she looks in the first interview when Nate asked them if they wanted people to go and look for him.

I hate these parents. My mind goes to when my kids were little. 2 years old means tired tantrums & curious exploring and pushing the rules. They're called terrible twos for a reason. Most kids have parents that understand they are dealing with little hurricanes & take care of them as such. Parenting is turning our wild animal little kids into functioning people. These parents are just totally out in left field.

Do you think this is why VDK kept saying he was 3 years old...

Wish we could see ALL his statements (whether there were 5 or 9) - it would be interesting to "see" what he said!

Especially about your missing child. Instead of telling the truth, they call in 300 searchers, dogs, helicopters, divers, Special FBI units, tons of money, etc. It's mind boggling!

One has to consider if they might be delusional. ??

Maybe they didn't realize that a small town like Leadore would have that much support for a search... maybe they thought a small town sheriff would arrive, look around, and that would be it?

will post this now, as you guys are WAY ahead of me... only 190 more posts to read... :pcguru:

Good thinking. That would protect her from mountain lions too - as cunning as they are, I don't believe they've mastered car door handles yet. I hope you didn't roll the windows down too far though, or a mountain lion could have sneaked in and carried her off without you even noticing.

Haha! True story. But a Jeep Rubicon definitely couldn't have fit through the window, so I felt pretty good about the decision.

Re: the 911 calls.

I think GGP was first to call and VDK/JM went into a panic when seeing him do this. Maybe there was a heated argument about calling in a accident and VDK/JM weren't ready to call yet.

I also wonder if just before the 911 calls of 2:22-2:28 if any calls/texts were made between VDK and JM? That may tell a lot too and possibly explain the "hauling" story.

2 unrelated things churning around in my head:

1) ALL conversations by POIs/suspects with either LE or Klein would be tape-recorded, right? I'd assume so.

2) Was just thinking about the Friday Search and Rescue event...soooo many people, including FAMILY!!! So, that means, they were even lying to family, right?

BBM
I was just catching up when I remembered reading this from Klein's FB page & thought I'd share:

KIC:
"Mr. Browning represents VDK - not our client. Mr. Klein has not met Mr. Browning other than once - where in Mr. Klein's opinion Mr. Browning acted unprofessional and began to yell. :naughty: Mr. Klein's staff retains a recording of that event."

(I assume VDK was with Mr. B? Anyway, just thought I'd share since I remembered your question. FWIW)

I can't go thru mounds of threads but I recall seeing/confirming that the 3 phone calls to 911 were from Jessica, Vernal and Deorr SR. NOT ggrandpa that was at the campsite. It would seem then that both may have called their parents BEFORE calling 911? At this point, since no calls have been released except Jessica's we really don't know.
I was the one that said Idaho has never prosecuted for murder without a body, along with New Hampshire as of 2015 and provided the link. That is why I think there are no arrests yet. I think that J & V are certainly aware of that fact also.
