Hmmmm...maybe. But he certainly doesn't have the means to pay (if payment is still required - it may not be) for Klein. Besides, he and his/Jessica's children have to live in the area and I highly doubt he would want to endure the wrath of the Mitchell / Kunz families that would come from retaining Klein's services.

KIC replied to a poster addressing some questions about payment and if further monies would be required.

I gathered it's not an issue.

Imo. Klein deals with missing kids. But he is not advocating for any other kid expect for Deorr.

Now he acts like he knows everything about this case while passing the information to the fbi.

So what else does he need to do that the fbi can't.

So imo. He is sticking around for publicity. And not publicizing other cases that he can use media attention help on. Jmo

Just curious, have you checked out Klein's FB page in, say, the last month? There are several postings of other cases, not just DeOrr's. It could be that DeOrr's case happens to be the one with the most movement at the moment (it is still fairly "new").

And also, remember that Klein is a private investigator, hired by private parties. You say: "Klein deals with missing kids. But he is not advocating for any other kid expect for Deorr." He is not a government agent who has latched on to his favorite case and is ignoring the other ones. Klein was hired by Vernal's father to do a job and he is simply doing just that, in my eyes. I'm sure if his other clients were disappointed with how their cases are moving along, they would voice their opinions. I can guarantee you they would blow social media pages up with negative comments if they were unhappy with his services. Much like Dennis DeOrr Kunz is doing...

I don't think we know for sure.

I don't find that, in and of itself, odd. My brother has gone on many camping trips with his kids. I NEVER see photos from them. That's just not something they do.

And really, even a lack of photos from someone who normally takes them isn't a huge red flag to me either. I take a ton of pictures usually. But then some days, I just don't feel like it. Especially if we're out doing something fun. I'll MAYBE snap some to upload later. But sometimes not at all.

Not trying to defend these parents or anything. Just saying that everyone is different. So to me, the photos thing isn't relevant.

That is true. Everyone is different.

But we saw lots of pix on JM's FB with her and her kids doing things. And taking a 2 yr old camping is kind of a momentous thing. IF you are someone who takes pix of your kids, like JM was known to do on her own SM, then it does seem odd to me that there were no pix of him taken that dray in town or at the campsite. He is a gorgeous little happy boy. There must have been a dozen times they could have snapped a quick cell pic of him, playing with his trucks in the dirt, for example.

What I meant by saying he is very responsive on FB is you can pose questions directly to him if you'd like.

Yeah, I saw that, too. Not that it matters, but if money is not an issue why would Klein even need another client to hire him? He states they are vetting two people who have expressed interest in hiring him. He could easily have said, we aren't going anywhere (he HAS said that, actually) and payment is not a problem and a client to report to is not needed. I guess I don't know enough about how hiring a PI goes, so, there's that...

Maybe Mr. Walton would retain Klein?

Pretty sure they are divorced. I don't think it would be VDK's mom from what I've seen... If it's a family member, maybe JM's mom or JM's ex-husband? MOO

Yes, VDK's mom and dad (DDK) are divorced.

Interesting theory, but he, like Jessica, won't finish telling the story he knows. I don't see him hiring Klein. Hopefully we'll find out soon as I think Klein mentioned they'd make an announcement today.

I still believe that information will be forthcoming soon from a family member. Maybe from someone we least expect but it will be from someone who loved little DeOrr and who will put an end to this charade. I have a feeling (and a tremendous hope!) that it will be very soon.

Little DeOrr - you are so loved not just by your family but by hundreds of strangers. We pray that you will be found soon.

You will be found.

I had a thought about the phone pings... Last year, Bowerman confirmed that he was telling search and rescue organisations not to waste their resources by looking for DeOrr, as they had done a very thorough search and were sure he was not there to be found. But this year, he has been talking about new searches. I think they got new evidence, maybe the cell phone pings, that has given them an idea of a new area to search. If they know the parents were at a certain area before they went to the store that day, maybe the dogs can find DeOrr's body.

Another thought. JM saying they went to the store to buy feminine products. Her mother even said JM texted her that morning and told her they were going to get feminine products - a bit of a strange thing to do, imo. Maybe they wanted to explain away a blood stain, or an area in the truck that had been cleaned that day with bleach, or maybe they even had the foresight to think of cadaver dogs and thought this could explain any hits.

Maybe an ex? Who said his only concern is for Deorr, a child he loved.

IDK..but im glad someone is willing to donate. Klein mentioned having 550+ investigative hours logged in this case between 9 investigators. Thats only 61 hours apiece over seven weeks but at a rate of prob. $100 per hr...just guessing.
A foot search plus expenses could get pricey...imo

And I always wonder why they would call in LE and SAR where they might have buried him....Not sure they would. If they were hiding him it wouldn't make sense to go back to the campsite over and over knowing full well he might be found. JMO

I've thought this as well, and wondered if him "hauling down the road" was when he was hauling back to camp from wherever he took little Deorr's body, so they could all make their 911 calls at the same time.

Maybe the ping from her phone also showed that they were not at the campsite when she texted her mom to tell her they were going to the store?

I don't know. Some trips to the zoo, I snap/send quite a few pictures. Other trips...zero. Same goes for trips to the botanical gardens. Or the children's museum. Or the park. Etc. Even on vacation...I may send a bunch one day and none the next. So I don't really think this is a big deal. I suppose if you add it on to the 1,000,000 other hinky things with these two it could.

Based on what we've heard now, I suspect there are no photos because something happened late at night or early in the morning. So there would have been no chance of photos of a happy child having fun, unfortunately.

:nevermind:I just caught something in on of Kleins interviews either EIN or channel 8, can't be sure now. He was talking about a witness coming forward to state that VDK didn't have a child with him in the store. The witness said he was in line with VDK and provided a receipt to verify. Then Klein says something to the effect of we looked back, and sure enough it was him.

I didn't think anything of it at the time, but looked back at what? Maybe the receipt is what is being referred to or MAYBE there really was surveillance video?
I don't know. I've been to a lot of dumpy little gas stations & general stores in the middle of nowhere Idaho & they all had security cameras. A cheap system can be picked up at Costco or Amazon for $300. A lot of rural gas stations are also consolidated as liquor stores and I just checked with the stage stop- they sell liquor.
*I am re-watching the interviews & will post a link once I find it, with a time

The only reason that I'm not happy with Klein is because there are millions of kids missing that can use his help.

But he wants to take years from his schedule to bash people on this media case even though he discovered and already passed on his discovered information to the fbi and sheriffs.

So what more does he want. And don't give me that justice crap. If he truly investigate missing kid cases. Then maybe he should be honorable like Tim Miller (Texas equasearch) and move on. Jmo

Remember when Tim Miller decided to no longer move on the Mcstay case due to xyz. Did Tim Miller do a national campaign about it. No. He simply just kept it moving to the next case.

So Klein may be right on some things. But Klein is also seeming like the attention seeking bounty hunter that first helped out Casey Anthony. Jmo

Klein just wants to have a permanent chair on the Nancy Grace Bombshell show. Jmo

But Tim Miller is a SAR guy, Klein is a PI. As a PI he doesn't want to move on until the case is solved, which is an honorable thing, IMO. I just don't see it as being the same situation. jmo

Klein said no more money is needed.

I might provoke a few slaps from the good ladies here being a man, but...

1, Surely she would have taken or already had such a necessity in her toiletry bag? I would always take plasters and paracetamol on camping trips as a kid, not because I planned on needing them but just in case...

2, Texting mum about this need....maybe if a lot younger, but a 25 year old?
