My 26 yr old daughter texts me all the time..Now I can see if she went camping and I texted her to make sure she made it ok or to check on her and she was not able to get cell service until she was on the way to the store to get tampons and saw my text she might say something like ..we are doing good, headed to store as luck would have it Aunt flo came to visit...Something like that, I could see my daughter doing that.

I was just going to post something similar. I have a friend that shares everything with her mom. I would think nothing twice of a texted conversation between them that went something like "how's camping?" "Good but we have to run to town to get tampons because.... I forgot to throw some in my bag, Aunt Flo showed up early or whatever..." Some ladies aren't regular, especially with certain types of birth control, so it really could happen unexpectedly.

That said, in the context of texting her mom while her son has gone missing and she's presumed to have played a role, it does make one question what was really said in the messages.

LOL, sometimes I wish mine were a bit more private...I know she wanted to have that mom/daughter talk at 14..she said her older sister had it with the counselor at school but she wanted to have it with me...I asked her why the counselor at school wasn't good enough for her too. I know I know..but I guess we are just close and she feels she can talk to me about anything even if it makes me uncomfortable.

I think my dad feels the same way you do SweetT! My mom died when I was 15 so guess who had to give ALL those talks?! Now I bet he wishes I would shut up about TMI stuff... [emoji5]

IMO you have a dislike for Klein and are mistaken as to what his role is. He was retained to find Deorr. He has not finished his one and only objective so it makes little sense to suggest he is sticking around for publicity only. The family hired him I'm sure in good faith to find their missing loved one, sadly it turns out the parents know what happened and where his body is located. No doubt that isn't what the family wanted from their money, but as they say "it is what it is".

He is giving interviews as per the media requests, and the case is generating interest it's not his fault. People may find his getting attention troublesome but once again it is very much par for the course. Klein basically specializes in investigating missing persons cases, often there is some media interest in those "type" of situations. If no one cared and there wasn't media attention I'm pretty sure he still would have come to the same conclusion. Lastly he should not publicize other cases when giving interviews about Deorr, that would be unprofessional.

Imo. Klein is a citizen that was privy to information. But should all citizens be allowed to bash people in the media with information that they have already passed on to the fbi?

Your comment wasn't directed at me, but I'd like to comment anyways :).

IMO there is no reason whatsoever for Klein to be giving all of these interviews, except for the publicity. It would be one thing if Klein had concluded that there is a chance that DeOrr may be alive, and was using the media to get DeOrr's face out there so that people would know to look for him. But that's not the case here. Klein has made it very clear that his investigation concluded that DeOrr is deceased. Therefore, a simple statement to the media regarding the general findings of his investigation would have been sufficient. Anything beyond that, imo, is publicity for himself.

In addition, if anyone might be confused about Klein's role, it would be Klein. Klein is not LE, but he likes to present himself as though he is LE, "keeping the public informed". He is not responsible for keeping the public informed of anything. We know that his client did not ask him to discuss his findings with the public. Every statement, every social media post, every interview that he does, he does because he wants to. Not because he has to, or because his client has asked him to. Some praise him for this, and that's fine, we all have our opinions. But it's pretty obvious to me that he is using the case to promote himself. And the way that he is publicly accusing people of crimes but providing no solid evidence or proof is disturbing to me. Vague comments open to interpretation do not qualify as evidence to me.

So sorry about your mother..and Yes, it probably made your dad really uncomfortable, but I'm sure he's happy to have you close to him, even if sometimes it's TMI.

Bash? When it comes to the death of a child and a mother says she knows where the body is and LE says he can talk about it and he's investigating the case, why not? It's not like he's just the guy that lives down the street and is making things up.

Sure, some women would text their mother about aunt flo showing up and some women would forger to take tampons on a camping trip. But you have to look at it in context. Something happened to DeOrr early that morning and going to the store was some kind of coverup. They were covering up their child's death. In that context, why was it so important to text her mother about going to buy feminine products?

I bet you that 1000 families are now seeking Kleins help for their case which is good.

But Klein will probably keep his attention on this case until he proves whatever.

So if Klein knows what happened. Then why not put more focus in to finding the next kid. Jmo

Tim Miller would probably disagree with some of Klein tactics as well. Jmo

Publicity in the case of trying to find a missing child is a good thing isn't it?

Someone posted a little earlier about some of Kleins other cases he was on and that neither of those kids were ever found. Did he come out and accuse the parents on any of those other cases? Does anyone know?

As I told you before, Klein Investigations is not a one-man show. None of us know what Miller would be thinking about it.

It sure is, and it's a damn shame that the publicity isn't coming from the family.

Since Klein acts like he solved the case and knows where LE can find the body. Then Klein should move on to his next case.

Jmo. Why is he waiting for the fbi to grant him permission for anything.

Is that much snow on the ground on these hot March days where Klein can't actually be searching right now without waiting for the blessing of the sheriff.

Did the fbi tell Klein that he can't search right now.

Imo. How many feet of snow is on that campsite right now. Didnt the cops check a 60 mile sq foot radius already.

So where does Klein want to check at. And why not head up there right now; Especially since its probably not that much snow there at the moment.

Are you kidding me. Tim Miller knew that the Mcstay family case was a doozy due to xyz and he kept it moving without bashing certain people. Tim Miller personally told LE what he knew and thought and left that case alone. Jmo.

So do not compare Klein's tactics to a Tim Miller. Jmo

I don't take everything Klein says at face value because he does come off like a salesman to some degree to me. I'm not saying he's lying but he seems to have a way to make the truth come across different. I think that's his strategy. Almost like a "fighting fire with fire" kind of guy. It's pretty clear VDK and JM respond to SM and maybe he's hoping one of them will slip by responding to a public post in haste.

Since the "cerebral fluid" comment I'm starting to lean more towards an accident. The "bawling and filthy" comment comes to mind as well. I'm starting to think he was ran over (obviously this could be on purpose as well but for the sake of sleeping I'm going to stick with accident). I have yet to hear a definitive answer to if there was a 4 wheeler there. I know there was some mention of a brother in law bringing one in for the search but did grandpa have one? To me the 3 pieces of equipment could be a 4 wheeler (or truck), clothing that was worn by whomever picked him up and a shovel. If it was an accident they may have panicked (paranoid by some type of drug, hiding past abuse, or even just as simple as they think they are above the law, etc). I also can't get past the blanket. If it was a murder why would they keep his blanket for anything other than a sentimental reason? The abduction story could have still worked without it and it would be one less piece of evidence for them to have. SM has been insane with this case from the beginning. Obviously JM and VDK buried their own grave with that topic along with many other things. But I'm starting to get a spiteful, stubborn feeling about it. Like they hid an accident for whatever reason and are now sticking to their story just to peeve their FB enemies. SM is a very strong influence in our society now especially with their generation.

The lack of emotion is concerning but it almost feels like they approach the media as if they are disconnected with reality.

Don't get me wrong an accident cover up at this point would still be heinous regardless of the reason.

Check the weather in Leadore on google. Its supposed to rain/snow today and several more times this week. Its like 20-40 degrees in Leadore this week. I wouldn't call that hot.

Klein doesn't know where the body is. JM does.

When it's federal stuff, you take the FBI's lead.

Yes, there is still too much snow on the ground. This has been confirmed by posters that live in that area.

Why no head now? That sounds like a personal question for Klein.

Klein has very clearly stated to his public that DeOrr is deceased, discarded on the mountain somewhere. So technically, according to Klein, he's no longer a missing child, at least not missing in the way that the public can help at this point. imo.
