Did anyone else notice in the photo at the link, there is a man's reflection in the glass of the hutch? Any ideas who that is? I am guessing someone will be outside our view telling them what to answer & what not to answer. I don't anticipate a lot of good info coming from this, but am still interested to watch it.

JM still looks about as angry, too, IMO.

IMO

It could be the camera man.

JM looks like she is giving side-eye and VDK's mouth is open. SHOCKER!

I didn't notice the man's reflection at first, but what I did notice immediately is the box of tissues that probably won't be needed.

Their lawyer?

I don't really see a man's reflection very well, perhaps its the camera people.

Channel 8 in Idaho Falls is apparently planning to air an interview with the parents tonight on the news.

https://www.facebook.com/ChelseaBrentzelNews/posts/1089463877750547:0

"EXCLUSIVE: Join me tonight on Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News @ 10. We will hear from the parents of missing toddler DeOrr Kunz Jr. I spoke with them exclusively for the first time since they've been named suspects in their son's disappearance."

Oh, wow! I will be keeping my fingers crossed on this one. I like Chelsea and, when she had interviewed Klein, I think she asked some intelligent questions.

As far as the parents go and the months they have had to scour SM (probably also including WS), I'm sure they will know exactly how to "act" a little bit better this time for the camera. I hope it doesn't appear to be too rehearsed... I hate being this cynical.

ETA - Hmmm...the room they are in sure looks like an attorney's office.

I think their lawyer will have told them to say nothing about the events of that day. It will probably just be them claiming they are being victimized and saying how sad they are about all the mean comments about them on SM.

Pure damage control.

I'm glad some people could use use the map. I was originally going to only show around the campground, but settled on both campground and Leadore because no one has a clue where whatever happened, well, happened.

My logic was if something happened on the way to or from Leadore or while actually in Leadore, the likely hiding spots would be centered around Leadore, while if something happened in or near camp, then I don't see why they would have wasted 30 minutes to drive to the main roads when there would have been far "safer" options in terms of being spotted.

I've been playing around on Google Earth for a while and see a ton of what appear to be trails rather than actual roads. Some of them travel well beyond the 10 mile radius and appear large enough to drive a vehicle on. I can only get a basic idea of terrain/elevation on Earth though. Many go well outside the 2.5-3 mile LE coordinated searches and have plenty of trees nearby for concealing evidence.

There's also several large areas that appear to have been logged. I see what looks to be logs haphazardly stacked around the edges and tops laying on the ground. Again outside of the original search area, but well within the 10 mile radius. If it looks even remotely close to the Earth view, I see some potentially great hiding places. Evergreen tops laying all over the place would be nearly impenetrable and any new undergrowth would rapidly take over the following spring filling in bare spots.

If I was a betting woman, I'd probably put half my chips on 105/Big Timbercreek Rd being the route taken heading south. From camp, it would look like they were heading to the store to IR and GGP. It looks like there is enough tree cover to prevent the vehicle from being seen and far enough away to at least dampen the noise. It also looks like fairly open terrain, so driving wouldn't be too difficult and there are plenty of trees just off the road for camouflage. It also appears to go way outside of the 10 mile radius. I think it would have been pretty easy to see coming in to camp as well and it's likely if they weren't familiar with the area, they would have had a map or GPS on their phones showing that road.

I wonder if their tire tracks would've been visible. Although law enforcement was looking for a child missing in the wilderness. I wonder how "impressionable" the ground is there, seems like if they were looking they could identify and follow any tread leading toward any other accessible road nearby.

Their lawyer?

Looks to me like the interview is taking place in their attorney's office.

And Jessica DOES look angry. I am curious to see if she'll manage any eye contact. Her lack of eye contact is very unsettling even to a casual observer like myself.

I'd vote for sleep if I were you guys! I am interested, and appreciate desert-blue giving us the info, the cynic in me doesn't expect much useful information from them though. Now that they are suspects I imagine a lot of we can't comment on that, our lawyer advised us not to comment, we won't answer those types of questions etc...

What will be interesting to see is if VDK still talks like he's on a meth bender, and how much hate JM can project into the camera. I am pretty sure there will be no confession so perhaps the parents can also advise us on how their personal search for Deorr is going.

I'm not expecting any useful information either... However, it's always interesting to observe how they interact, who speaks, their demeanor, whether they use DeOrr or lil' man, etc. Will they deny their involvement? I don't think I've heard either of them actually proclaim their innocence. Doubt they'll address their polygraph results...

It also tells me that they are still strongly in the denial and lying mode, not on the verge of breaking down and confessing. They are continuing with the myth and accepting no responsibility. MOO.

Her body language is so closed off from VDK too.

I think the refection is either the camera man or their lawyer.

People have said a lot about a signature "look" that Jessica has on her face. You know, I'm not a big fan of hers but I will say this: is it possible that that's just they way she looks? I mean, I can honestly tell you that when I'm caught off guard in a photo I look like a complete and total jerk! I've had this same nasty "look" since I was a little girl. I don't know why that is - I swear I'm a pretty nice person!

I hope I don't get in trouble for saying this, but the young kids these days use the term "resting b!tch face" for this look. (LOL! That always makes me laugh!) Google it, I promise the results will not disappoint! Maybe that just happens to be Jessica's resting b!tch face, you know? I've also seen it in other photos of hers, long before Little DeOrr went missing.

I don't think this is going to be anything more than more poor us whining. I'm sure the attourney will be there putting the lid on any good questions.
I haven't seen any more movement in all the lawsuit threats.

Yes. She's always closed off.

Also, the reporter states it's her office. Wrong again :)

Oh wow, well spotted. A man in a blue shirt sitting down with his hands crossed. So it definitely doesn't look like a camera person.

My understanding is when GOOGLE Earth does mapping of the entire US what they do is take snapshots of each quandrant of the US and piece it all together. But it is a point in time and they do not refresh it too often because of the cost and amount of data storage necessary for all the images.

It takes a huge amount of storage to house all the detailed pictures of the US. And it has to be done at a certain point of time.

With that said, the US military does have the capability with their own satellites to command the satellite to point to a certain area and get a current shot of an area. But they would have had to known in advance that the campground area was a place their satellite needed to be pointing at.

For example if right now we know NYC needs a current shot because we suspect tomorrow something will happen then they can point the satellites in that area and start taking a series of pictures. But they have to know in advance where to point to because they don't have images of the entire US daily or anything like that.

Maybe someday in the future we will be able to get daily pictures of every single area of the world and get pictures every hour on the hour but for now the data storage limits and limited supply of available satellites makes that not feasibile.
The skies also need to be clear in order to get a shot from the satellite.

If I were their attorney, I wouldn't let them anywhere near a running camera. These two can't seem to take a deep breath without incriminating themselves. I can't imagine how they're going to make it through an entire interview.

I imagine there will be lots and lots of side-eyed glances (from Jessica, at least) in the direction of their attorney.

Whether she has RBF or not, she should at least TRY to look like a pleasant person IMO, especially considering the circumstances. I'd want to look like a loving mother and not a mother that looks like they want to slap the crap out of someone all the time. But, then again, who knows what permanent face damage has been done by having to put up with the little mister.

I was looking at the Local 8 news website to see if there was anymore info and happened upon a section called "Ask the Expert". Guess who is one of their three experts. Allen Browning, the family's attorney!

Not expecting much from the interview. I'm sure it's been heavily edited and rehearsed. Still, I'll watch it intently.
