Yep, leakage! It's woo... And what sounds like it might be credible often isn't. It is as credible in the scholarly psychological realm as Freudian slips! So as credible as alien abduction and just as admissible in court!
So who will defend statement analysis and its authenticity? Anyone? Leakage?

I just have an avid dislike for charlatans and anything they sell - And most imortantly make money from!

midge Montana, I like your style. :D

and thanks butler...I do understand that. if there were private homes in those woods, my guess is that the owner(s) wouldn't welcome LE tossing the place. so warrants would have had to be issued. and even if they DID open their doors to LE, another guess is that LE would've said so by now no matter which it was.

IMO, DK slipped. he trespassed but I'd like to know where, and why. and once again, who would be stupid enough to 'hide' a child on private property when there's a national forest right in front of you?

OK I have been reading here for years and never had any intention of posting anything. And yet, here I am....

I hope I'm doing this all right and not breaking any rules. I am in awe of the posters here and am super nervous to finally do this. You guys don't miss anything and I have been waiting for this topic to be discussed. I am posting a link to the Idaho Courts showing a case filed against JM on 7-6-2015, only five days before little DeOrr gets disappeared. It's for nearly $12,000.00. I have always wondered what exactly could have happened that would push someone into such a state where they could beat their precious 2 year old to death. So I am imagining JM at home with DeOrr, maybe having a bad day. DeOrr might be tired, cranky, on her last nerve. Then she is informed somehow (I don't know the service protocols for Idaho) that a case for $11,958.02 has been filed against her. I have no idea what the case was about, but I have a nagging suspicion it was for medical bills for DeOrr's birth. I have been wrong plenty of times and could very well be completely off-base with this one too. But in my mind, the knowledge of owing that much money and having no defense to the case (Default Judgement) could have sent her into a frenzy. And on top of all of it, there is DeOrr, making her day miserable. I can imagine to someone with few coping skills, that might very well have sealed DeOrr's fate.

I apologize if this has been brought up before and I missed it. I have read about 80% of what is posted here about DeOrr, but I do miss stuff.

Welcome to the thread! I have also wondered what the debt was for - it certainly could be medical bills from DeOrr's birth. I thought it might have something to do with the tubal that she may have had as well. Perhaps it's a combination of the two things. I don't know if she had insurance? (If they weren't married, I don't think she would be covered on DK's insurance?) Even with insurance, some procedures might not be covered.

I can see her getting upset if she was served papers (or got them in the mail? - I don't know the exact protocol either). Do you think she harmed him before the camping trip? I have always been very suspicious of the lack of sightings during the trip. SB and Klein have been quite vague about the last time he was seen by anyone other than the 4 POI's, so it's possible something happened in Idaho Falls.

Thanks for the welcome, desert-blue. Yes, more and more I think he was not alive at all on the trip. I was reluctant to go there in my mind because I just can't imagine driving around with my dead child in the car, passing him off as alive? WTH?

Or maybe he was injured but still alive when they left Idaho Falls and he died later during the trip? Definitely creepy thinking of driving around with a deceased child... this whole case is quite bizarre, though...

my thoughts are the same as yours.

- where are there private homes up there. because that's where they searched, not down mountain in leadore. by their own and LE's admission.
- why would he put it out there that he trespassed, and where did he trespass
- what 'signs' are up in those mountains anyway aside from campground and possibly hunting markers
- who would be so dumb as to 'hide' their child on private property (wait don't answer that) or even mention the thought of it being a possibility...
considering that you have an enormous uncharted national forest in which to do so, at your fingertips (trucktips)...

Glad you brought this up. Not sure if it's just a "Vernalization" - ie, blowing smoke, bsing par extraordinaire, or if there's a nugget o' truth in there.
In any case, I would imagine that in some cases - - foreclosed properties, vacation homes with lots and lots of land, undeveloped private properties where the landowner bought cheap and is waiting for the right time to build - - these would be the perfect spot to hide a body, evidence, etc., because nobody goes there regularly.

For the "boundaries" of said no trespassing zones, I would assume that there's an assessor's office (maybe goes by a different name) , if not in Leadore, but somewhere in the area, where they could furnish tax maps (don't know the proper name for it).

BBM - It's not necessarily private homes, but private lands. Thousands of acres of private lands. This is a ranching/farming area. There may not be a house for miles but there would still be private land that would be marked.

My take on VDK's statement was that during his searches he wasn't always abiding by the no trespassing signs, that he was respectful of it being private property and not trashing it, but he didn't limit his searching due to the signs. It's difficult for folks to understand the remoteness of these areas unless they've been there. Idaho Falls is the largest community in Eastern Idaho and it's population is only about 50,000 people.

If the case was filed on the 6th and they left on the 9th, I doubt papers had been served yet. It generally takes a few days for the paperwork to even get to the SO for service and then deputies serve them as they find time between calls. While I agree a suit for close to $12,000 would be extremely stressful, I know I would freak out, we can't say for sure they knew about it before the trip.

The link to the court documents in smacaluso's post won't work because the text field required to access the records has to be entered by each individual visiting the site. I've edited the link to take you to the main page of Idaho Courts. You'll have to enter JM's info (as JLB) and select Bonneville County from the dropdown list of counties.

My fear is they disposed of him in a dumpster.

I've leaned toward that idea from the start. I tried to figure out where dumpsters were in the region but too difficult. However, we can assume they were near campgrounds and shops. Also, I was thinking of rest areas along the highway. We know they were doing something Friday.

Thanks for the welcome, Mickshawn!! Everything about this case is sad.

Could the $12,000 be for back child support?

I wonder where the landfill is that serves Leadore? Has it been too long to find anything?

The plaintiff is Bonneville Billing & Collections, so it seems likely that it's a debt that a business turned over to collections. I would think back child support might be filed by the State of Idaho or Department of Health & Welfare?

It certainly could. Whatever it was for, I don't think it was well received. JM almost certainly had to know before the case was filed that she owed the $$$. These things rarely just sneak up on you.

I recall researching the topic and discovering that there are incinerator plants near Leadore that receive some of the area's garbage.

Yes it would.

That is not good. :-(

Thanks, sillybilly!! I knew there would be at least one mistake in my first post.
