Is it significant that the only statement not released to the media (by Klein?) is Isaac's? Surely any prospective criminal case against the other 3 could be thrown out on the grounds of excessive adverse pre-trial publicity.

In the movie, they ask the father of they are married. He answered, "engaged, getting married next month." instead, the mother married someone else the next year.

Grandma doesn't know anything but suspects that one of the 4 adults has done something to the child. Who wouldn't? I feel very sorry for her, searching for little bones in the wilderness, trying to bring the baby home. It is interesting that Issac told her that DeOrr in fact returned from the store with his parents. Of course, he may be lying to her too.

Grandma thinks someone will slip up and reveal what happened. I hope it is sooner rather than later.

Me too, I never did (and still don't) believe Trina was involved or is covering anything up.

I don't think she's 100% about her family though.

I believe she knows what happened (found out after), but that she is absolutely involved in the cover up.

I believe that she grieves for the loss of her grandson.

The comments she's been making lead me to believe she thinks VDK is the guilty one.

I have to admit I'm astonished that JM and VDK haven't thrown each other under the bus yet...seems like they must share fairly equal responsibility in little D's death and know that neither one will get a significantly lighter sentence by being the first one to tell.

If you go to the Deorr Kunz Voices page on Facebook and click on the picture of Deorr from June 27th, and read the comments, Vernal is on there defending himself and man, does he have a foul mouth.

And a temper, it seems.

Hey!

from the article posted by Henry2326 in post #621:

“My 2-year-old son…we can’t find him,” DeOrr’s mother, Jessica Mitchell, told a dispatcher during a 911 call made around 2:30 p.m. that day. “He was wearing cowboy boots, pajama pants and a camo jacket, and he’s got shaggy blond hair.”

Is this the "same" camo jacket LE found in their home??

It will be 2 years on Monday, July 10th that little DeOrr "disappeared"!!

Where are you DeOrr!?!

I remember they weren't able to verify that it was the same jacket, possibly a smaller, older one? Sorry I don't have a link and not sure if it came from Sheriff or from Klein. May be posted here on the media thread.

DeOrr’s grandmother, Trina Bates Clegg, organized today’s search and says the public is invited.

“Until I know in my heart that I’ve covered every inch of that area, which may never happen in my lifetime, but until I feel confident that I’ve covered more areas and I’ve seen more ground, I’ll go back there until the day I die. I don’t care if I’m 90 years old,” Clegg said.

The search begins at 9 a.m. Volunteers are asked to wear appropriate shoes and bring food and water.*Click here for more information.

A community vigil for DeOrr will be held at 7 p.m. July 10 at Freeman Park in Idaho Falls. Attendees are asking to bring a blue balloon and a candle.*

I wonder what DeOrr's own parents are doing.

.

I was able to watch the full Trina Clegg interview and (to me) she came across as one of the most decent and credible people in this whole case. I think she is as puzzled as everyone as to what actually happened that day , and refrains from bashing or slandering anybody. We must remember how harsh she has also been spoken about through this ordeal .

(in my opinion) most of the public commentary has been pure hatred against nearly everyone in that family , including Issac ,yet to this day none of us knows what happened , neither does law enforcement.

Mrs Clegg displays a great attitude considering all the uncertainties about her missing grandson.

Mrs Clegg displays a great attitude considering all the uncertainties about her missing grandson.
She had this to say:

“I think if that’s what their suspicions were, they should have kept their mouths shut and pursued that,” Clegg said. “If you stole something from me and all of a sudden everyone keeps pointing fingers at you, what are you going to do with what you had stolen from me? Hide it, get rid of it, try to make it less suspicious. If (investigators) had just kept things quiet, maybe something would have come up."

“Everyone always asks me, ‘Why can’t you get (Jessica) to talk?’ I have sat in interrogation rooms and I’ve begged her. I threw pictures of baby Deorr in front of her and said, ‘All it takes is you to talk to them,'” Clegg said. “There was a time she was offered immunity. (They said) ‘Sign that piece of paper and tell us what happened. You can walk right out that door.’ Why wouldn’t she sign immunity if that’s the case?

Clegg continued, “I may get proved wrong. I can’t say that it may not happen, but as of right now, I have to believe in my heart the things that I’ve been told.”

Praying the answer to Doerr's disappearance is found soon.

Lemhi County Sheriff, Steve Penner had a conversation with DeOrr’s mom Jessica at her campsite during the family search. He says he talked with her about an hour but could not share that conversation with KPVI, however, he did tell KPVI that none of the four adults have been cleared that were at the campground the day DeOrr came up missing.

[...] The Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office plans to have a larger scale search at some point when the vegetation isn’t as high.

But, for all the scores who are believed lost or taken, DeOrr stands out for attracting the attention, concern and, occasionally, conspiratorial constructs of perfect strangers.

And he is the abiding focus of local lawmen, who in recent weeks gathered at Timber Creek as part of innumerable efforts to uncover any evidence linked to DeOrr. Lemhi County Sheriff Steve Penner said the office, which is leading a probe that has drawn the aid of additional agencies, considers the case active.

[...] Information lately gleaned at the site led law enforcement officials to follow up with further questions for at least one of the people on hand when DeOrr was reported missing, and Penner said all the parties are cooperating in the investigation.
