Upon further reflection, I'm also thinking about the heroes...Kay & Larry, Adam Cox and Heather Daybell. They truly stuck their necks out for these victims. and then there are the other victims, who stood up to Lori, including Colby and Charles' sons. I want to wrap my arms around Chad's kids, siblings and parents. I can't imagine what they are dealing with.

So many victims.

It's 10 PM Friday night where I am, and I do not want to go to bed and miss the verdict. I'm hoping to wake up to some great news!

I'm in the same timezone in Aus as OP, and just spent over a month watching Gannon's trial in the middle of the night my time on WebEx, while trying to keep up with the developments of this one simultaneously. There are no borders for me on interest in a crime.

It is all so senseless. Charles wanted a divorce. If he made $400,000-500,000 a year she would have gotten a healthy monthly alimony payment, more than the social security she got. Charles would have taken custody of JJ. Tylee had about 1 year before she was of age and even at 17, she could have been enrolled in college and lived in a dorm. No one had to die. Except maybe Tammy.

A million dollars may seem like a lot but it would only produce income of about $40,000 a year. Lori probably would have gotten at least $5,000-$10,000 a month in alimony. That's $60,000-$120,000 a year. She would have been much better off financially from a divorce. Now, I don't think she is any kind of financial genious but, wow, to jump to murder is a very twisted leap. At least two of her previous divorces got pretty nasty we've heard but she had gone through three so surely she was familiar with the process.

I think people are forgetting lots of details about Charles. I feel for him so much, and how her family and the police did not listen to him.

BUT Charles was not a rich man really. The business in Hawaii failed, he declared bankrupcy in Texas (I believe) and they were always renting houses not buying or settling. When Lori took his money, he couldn't pay his staff.... not signs of a rich man to me. moo

I always felt that Lori drove the bad financial decisions in their marriage as well. She convinced Charles to pack up and move to Kauai. She got Charles to believe evil about Joe Ryan. (I still feel strongly that Alex killed Joe as well).

Lori truly had Charles by the Storm as well.

All I am saying, is that Charles was not some perfect guy that she gave up.

I also keep wondering if we will get more specific details about Charles death, and Joe's death during Chad's trial... We know his lawyer is going to pile everything on Lori.

So true..... I got caught up in the kidnapping from the campground in Western Australia a while back.... As weird as it all was, it did have a "happy-ish" conclusion...
Thank goodness, I had my WS friends to discuss it with.... No one in my physical environment had a clue..

But she also wanted Chad (for reasons I’m not sure any of us will ever understand). Even if you take him out of the picture… she clearly has a problem being alone. The alimony payments would’ve stopped the minute she remarried.

Also Charles was beginning to expose her.
He was talking & throwing shade on Lori.Tried to have her evaluated/committed.
He was exposing their affair to Tammy.
He was wounding CD & LVD ..he was wounding two narcissists.
I think it was planned rage. Charles was still going to produce money dead - via the life insurance & the SS money to JJ .All that money would be in her control.Charles would be silenced.
I think Kay getting the life ins created such a rage in Lori. Could be part of the reason she killed JJ. To hurt Kay. Remember she pranced by & smiled Kay’s way in court.

Why would prosecutors want to combine Lori and Chad Daybell’s cases?
