I think it's manipulative, just like his client.

That sounds about right.

Wasn't it Alex Murdaugh who typically cried when he was defending his clients?

Yes, I already knew this about Archibald, long before trial. There's video of him out there somewhere, crying to a judge, pleading for his client not to receive the death penalty. Just yuck!!!!

I do think the one good point he made was why enroll JJ in school in Idaho and why hire a babysitter as I have wondered about those things myself as I do believe the plan to get rid of the kids was hatched long before the move to ID. But I concluded that LV didn’t know the exact date JJ would be killed at that time and didn’t want to take care of him herself while she waited to be free of him.
She would have had to transfer his school records somewhere to keep the Arizona school off her case. Idaho has fewer requirements for homeschooling than Arizona, so once he was enrolled there, it would be easier to simply say she was pulling him out to homeschool him.

True. Only Summer ever said that about him. No evidence of it presented. They grabbed that and made a whole reason why he was easily manipulated and also a victim, not a killer.
I think the cousin mentioned it too. It was described as a family rumour.

I really hope that all of the things he brought up about hiring a babysitter and putting him in school not being part of a plan are shown to be part of the plan. The babysitter and school was needed because Tylee was dead. She needed caregivers. She needed to look good. She lied and pulled him out of school and dismissed the baby sitter when they were no longer needed. Wow, that defense made me mad. So manipulative.
I believe this jury is going to see through that. They have sat in the courtroom listening to witness after witness explain all the crazy that ensued. Lori was just as involved in manipulating each person as Chad was. She was recorded manipulating people. All those comments about what rating her kids are and so on. She was egging Chad on and I think they will fully see through the attempt to distort the truth from the defense.

Archibald said you protect your kids from a storm.
Well Lori drove her kids right into the “storm”. Willingly. Purposefully.
She’s guilty of murder but Mr Archibald may have swayed just one juror.

As a defense it wasn't so great but referring to Chad's stupid book and that it's cool he's friends with Jesus made me chuckle IMO

I think Archibald tried to achieve two things. One, make one or more jurors feel sorry for Lori and not convict. And two, if she goes free, make her family feel sorry for her and accept her back home.
Then Archibald can go to his grave knowing she’s a goddess who will go right out and do this all over again.

Yes, I’m cynical.

I have often wondered whose idea it was to bury the children on Chad's property. I can see that LVD may have insisted on it because at that time all the blood was on her and AC's hands since Tammy was still alive. So to get CD in as deep as they were, they decided to bury them on his property. Only problem with this is that it shows LVD may not have believed in CD and I really think she did believe in him. Interested in other thoughts on this!

Archibald's spiel about how you shouldn't convict her because it won't bring her kids back. WHAT?? So no murderer anywhere should ever be convicted.

And the cousin mentioned that the family was self insured and those people don't usually go to the hospital or dr if they "appear" okay because they don't have insurance and have to pay as you go. Not saying he did or did not have a TBI but that is one of the problems with self insurance - your hesitancy to go unless you really, really need obviouys medical care. obvious.

Lori's uncle Rex says he thinks the jury will be out for as long as it takes to down a can of soda.

I think the property was accessible and Chad could do it without raising suspicions. They knew they wouldn't be around and were arrogant enough to think that no one would miss her kids simply b/c she kept them away. And they are just dumb?

Prosecution gets a rebuttal and then that's it, correct? The defense doesn't get to rebut the rebuttal?

What a wonderful role model for Archibald.
